OK, u kno the movie Fearless, by Jet Li? Yeah well it was actually made in Chinese first. Just so u guys know, it has a pretty stupid plot but it's a good movie.

My parents said this is such a fake portrayel of Huo Yuan Jia. They said that it doesn't follow his history at all. In the movie it shows he has like one kid, but in real life he had like 8+. This is just one flaw I remember.

I don't think it's possible for a movie to have a stupid plot when its events are based on history (and not beaten to death by Hollywood and other similar film industries). This movie's plot may have been a twisted form of history, but it sure as hell wasn't beaten (see: Troy).

That's the main reason why the film is so controversial. They fucked with what really happened. I'll give them the last scene because if it were done as it really happened it would have made the movie a bit jumpy.

Maybe it'd have been a better movie had it only been inspired as opposed to based upon.

Judging from what I've heard (critics, reviews, friends that have had this on bootleg DVD for ages now), I think I'd just be more satisfied watching Hero again.

Although the initial "Holy shit I didn't know *spoilers*" wont be there, still an awesome movie.

i'm surprised Fearless came out in theatres as late as it did. i mean, i saw the torrent up for download early this summer! i guess seeing it on big screen would be a lot better, huh? i, for one, will just rent it so i can watch it in the comfort of my own home...contrary to what i said about it being better on big screen. :p

Hero is an entirely different kind of movie, and frankly, I thought it was boring as hell. If you want to watch an alternative movie, watch Unleashed. It's one of the few good high-octance films Jet Li has done (direction-wise).

The movie was released in China in late January and a torrent came out a few weeks later with pretty damn good subtitles. I watched it in March. I plan to see it at the theater just for the surround sound.

I like all of Jet Li's other movies like Hero and some in Chinese. lol I kno the names in chinese but not in english. There was this other movie with 50 cent i think or snoop dog. It was a movie with Jet Li where he had to help the rapper to find some jewels and save his daughter. Does anyone know what it is?
