You know, something feels wrong about thinking someone who did so much and lived to be 95 is a horrible travesty. It's sad to see him go, but he lived a long and fulfilling life. It's a good time to reflect on what he was able to achieve in the time he had, and really quite inspiring in many ways.
You lived well, Joe Barbera. We wish you luck in whatever the universe has in store for you now.

no offense, but his cartoons never struck a chord in me. FLintstones, Top Cat, Scooby Doo, etc... I guess I'm just a Warner Bros guy for life...
you can't take away the impact they had on American culture though, and I'm grateful to be able to grow up in the shadow of animation greatnesss...or something like that

Reason: just because
Damn, considering that modern animation really has no direction other then creating a marketable product its a down right travesty that he's gone. At least he'll always be remembered being a part of the greats.
All those days of staying home "sick" from school were worth it whenever one of his shows would come on. Even now, they never fail to entertain. Thanks for all the years of laughter, Joe.
