A good comedy movie by Jim Carrey, to say the least; but it definitely cannot beat The Click, left alone Liar Liar.

Let the Right One In

a really excellent vampire film. It's kinda gory and pretty dark, but largely because it doesn't take the twilight "easy way out" of the moral problems of being a vampire while not completely vilifying the main vampire. I really liked the character development and how it played around with who was a "good guy" and who was a "bad guy"

I dislike numerical ratings, but I would probably say a 9/10.

Crank : High Voltage

Kick ass film to the max. Just like the prequel, I'd personally give it a 10/10 (in terms of the mindless and gruesome nature of such a film). It is simply mindblowing and fucking insane (for the sake of being such).

Twilight sucks in a vacuum, but when you bring it into the context of this movie, well... it probably makes Twilight the worst movie of the year. To be generous.

Let The Right One In doesn't really do much in terms of plot surprises: you can generally guess what's going to happen in the next ten minutes at any given time. However, they execute that WELL. Furthermore, the movie isn't so much about the plot as it is about the setting and the questions it raises. It's kind of like a twisted fairy tale in some ways. Apparently, though, things turned out a bit differently in the book; or rather, the movie left some things out that put a different light on things. Personally, I prefer the movie's ideas better than the book (which sort of patchworks things together to cover all the bases, but ends up tripping over itself). If you have any sense of taste and would like to see a movie about vampires that doesn't suck, LTROI is pretty much the best you can do.

Yeah, it started out okay, but after the first half hour (which, incidentally, is almost half of the movie) it just became such random nonsense.
