Oh, John Hughes, why must I experience your greatness AFTER you died? Another one of his great "what it's like to be a teen" movies. I think I like Ferris Bueller SLIGHTLY more, but this was still a good one.
4/5

Haha, epic movie (it was something different like slight mix of documentary film plus sci-fi stuff, etc.) but it was really worth it......
P.S.
I really liked how the alien machine thingy blew the Nigerian gang lord to smithereens....

I was quite surprised to see my library had this movie. It was just displayed out w/ some other movies. But anyways, the movie (it's actually based off a comic strip, but you've never guess it). WOW. It's a dark comedy, but as it goes on, it gets more serious & emotional. One of the ONLY few movies where I actually cried at the end.
5/5.

It looked quite better than I expected (as at first I was apprehensive of watching these typical thriller films). Yet in the end, it wasn't so bad.

It was a lot better than I was expecting, but I kinda disliked the open ending, especially because it is a movie that really should not have a sequel.

It was OK. I mean, there was some memorable stuff, but otherwise, it was just a "meh". It's worth a rental, but it's not as good as I've been hearing.

Not one of Miyazaki's best films, but damn if it wasn't adorable.

The way it flowed was rather awkward at times and the love plot was a bit fast/corny. Other than that, great acting on part of Smith and the story is very touching.

Gets one point for decent visual effects, and one point for Gerard Butler.
Everything else about this movie was garbage. There's no flow to the plot, the characters are weak, gamers are portrayed as only being perverts and/or assholes (which I guess is somewhat accurate), and the whole thing just felt surreal, but not in a good way. Surreal like "That's an hour and a half of my life that I'm never fucking getting back and I have no idea what the hell just happened."

I guess this review helped me make a decision here. With that said, I thank you indeed (for saving me a few bucks in the theater hehe).
Anyways:
Shutter (Hollywood version) - 5/10
Always the same thing with horror movies nowadays. That and it's not as scary as the Thailand version.

Bad acting, bad dialogue, bad death scenes, bad use of 3d. It's so bad it's funny. And I went with a cool group of people and we were literally the ONLY PEOPLE IN THE CINEMA so cue us taking the piss out of it and we had a great night! =D | |

I thought this movie was p cool. Not much to say about it, but I didn't mind the ending which most people I've heard complain about it. 8/10

Hehe I thought it was quite something hence why we even paid extra so my family can watch it on a huge-ass IMAX screen. Though yeah, the ending may not be much of something that would please everyone. Still, it's a good movie overall (even if I prefer Hancock over this as one of the better Will Smith films). Quote: |

In any case, I could not imagine as to how many times this thing has been recycled. I definitely wouldn't want to waste money watching such garbage in the cinema.
P.S.
Anyways, despite my hesitation and apprehension, I guess I might give "UP" (from Disney/Pixar) a shot I guess.
To those who already saw "UP", what can you say about it?
