It's already released! Came out March 02 and the sampler is here, in case you're interested before going over to guhroovy or something and getting it.

I'm listening to it now and it's really good. It's the first I've ever heard from m1dy, and I love it so far.

Not really... I guess that they're noises put together nonsensically, in a way with no rhyme or reason? In which case I'd have to disagree with him, speedcore purposefully achieves a specific sound by using incredibly high-tempo samples and loads of distortion. I've heard some speedcore tracks which really are nonsensical and bad though, but the same goes for everything else.

I agree with you on the point "Good production is good production", mastering for a speedcore track seems like it would be a huge bitch o_O

Quality of sound and quality of enjoyment are two totally different things though. A lot of groups can make stuff sound good technically, but not everyone is a technical listener. I am a technical listener from time to time, but if the music isn't something that I can zone out to and use as background music while working, then I won't like it as much as other music I have.

DM Ashura may not be phenomenal at mastering his music, but he does make music that I can listen to while I'm working without it distracting me. m1dy? Not so much.

That's fine if you're not a "technical" listener, although you're making me sound like an elitist douchebag =p

Non the less, his mastering isn't the only issue I have with his music, and it really doesn't take much to make anything into background music haha

Let me make myself clear though: I don't like m1dy or speedcore, but I'm willing to give credit to the production skills it takes to control that many things going on at the same time.

Make sure to get the albums kakuseiki is back and japanese mathafacka too then, you will like it.

About speedcore in general... m1dy isn't really the "worst evvah". I've heard german speedcore/terror productions where you cant hear a single thing, with some crazy ass bass @ 900 BPM or more that blows your speakers . Some of m1dys tracks are melodic compared to that.

I think its funny that The Chemist is getting crap for an artist he doesn't particularly like

but seriously of most speedcore artist, I find m1dy most enjoyable and listenable. The first time I heard "Cold Pizza" I was blown away, because it was amazing, but speedcore isn't something I can listen to continously, maybe like 2 or 3 songs than I have to stop.

Again, its an acquired taste, like Gabba.
