Lets just hope the SAW series doesn't follow the same fate as the Scary Movie series.

I still need to see SAW 3 as well, i think i'll see it when it comes out on VDV tho.

Honestly, I'm not even thinking about the script, story, etc. The only thing that I keep thinking of when it comes to these movies and future installments is how will the poster look and what body parts will it use. A foot for the first, two fingers for the second, three teeth for the third. What about four? Are we going to get two severed arms bent in the shape of a four? Or maybe three legs bent in the roman numeral for four?

But yeah, as long as people will pay for them, they will keep making them. It's fine with me. I view them as "guilty pleasure" movies that I have to see just because I need a good dose of absurdity every now and then.

To me, though, that's too obvious... as well as not "bloody enough"... Hmm... I'd like to see an eyeball smeared down which makes the vertical line in a "4".

On a side note, it sucks that Leigh won't be involved with this one... I wonder if James will be on it. If not, then you can bet that the movie will suck - no alumni from my Uni

i never would have imagined after the first one this series would continue like this...i like it sure, but didn't expect such a phenomena...

Given what happens at the ending of the 3rd movie I have to think that they should have ended the series there. There's no point to doing a 4th film and it will only look weak compared to the prior entries.

They could always explore Jigsaw's past more. They only touched that in number 3. Then they can finish 3's conclusion and do a bunch of other shit to make a new movie. Though I doubt it will connect to the other three films too much.

Think of it like a prequel, perhaps?

That is true, but they already did something like that with "The Rebirth of Jigsaw" so it would just be retelling that most likely.

Shitty things make money all the time. This is one of them.

And it's no suprise because they can keep miliking the formula until they're out of ways to kill people. The "plot" (framework, really) isn't all that complex. They'll keep feeding it until filmgoers stop feeding them.
