Default So yeah, Dance Revolution

Remember that Saturday Morning CBS TV Series that was going to be based on DDR, and it would have an in-house band and have kids dancing and stuff?

It's here.

Okay, from what I'm understanding on the recently updated Wikipedia article about this thing, the people in the pic are DJ Rick and the Slumber Party Girls. In laymans terms, it's the host and the in-house band.

Quote:

Then DJ Rick introduces the Dance Crews, that is, the teams of contestants, and the judges. The Dance Crews start to perform their own dance routines. When they are finished, choreographer Leah Lynette comes to teach the Dance Crews some new styles of dancing. Finally, the Dance Crews have a dance off. The judges declare who the winning Dance Crew is and the winners gets to move on to the next round. Although Dance Revolution was based on the video game series Dance Dance Revolution, there is nothing similar between the two except for the name.
So yeah, that last sentence is the reason why this is in GD->MD and not DDR.

This looks SO stupid, but I'll give it a very small chance. I mean, this is the first time CBS has ever actually tried to make thier Saturday Morning block even halfway interesting.

EDIT: ALSO. Someone rip the songs from here. Let's see how good these girls actally are.

Nothing so universally and obviously stupid deserves its own thread. Revise your posting habits.

Managed to get a low-quality version of the theme.

Why am I not surprised that this ended up happening with the show idea?

Konami should sue these guys for pretty much slapping one of their trademarks on a show.

This is definitely pathetic. Even having team after team doing Butterfly (beginner) on a DDR machine would be better than this pile of crap. Hopefully, this show will be canceled.

Umm, yeah. If I was going to watch crews and shit do dance-offs, I would just sleep through Saturday morning, wait until the weekdays, flip on some no-name independant TV station, and watch old episodes of Dance 360.

At least it had Kel Mitchell.

I actually set aside half an hour last Sunday and watched it. It wasn't that bad if you realise it has nothing to do with DDR, though in that respect it's absolute trash.
