I think i'm the only person who's not sad to see toonami go. It started to go downhill when it split inyo Miguzi, and was complete and utter shit efter that.

I'm also sick of people getting nostalgic for a goddamn 10 second commercial break title card. Swear to god, if Toonami was still running, you all would bitch that tom looks like thomas the tank engine.

Nostalgia goggles are a hell of a drug...

You seem to be wearing some kind of anti-nostalgia goggles. There's nothing wrong with being upset that a block that you enjoyed when you were young is now dead. It's pretty normal, actually.

And everyone already complained about TOMas the tank engine. He's no longer relevant.

Thumbs down

no, The block died 4 years ago and became nothing but Naruto and Blood+ spam. And besides, the shows are still going to be shown. Just no commercial titles.

Really, it's the very definition of NOTHING OF VALUE WAS LOST

Around year 2004-2007

Granted, aside from the usual stuff, the only anime it had then was Gundam Seed (uncensored) and Seed Destiny

That was pretty much it.

But it was better than none.

I mean, out of all Cartoon Network feeds broadcasting from Hong Kong, only our Philippine feed had AS.

So it's good that we had it.

Blood+ was never on Toonami, and it's looking like CN plans on dropping anime as a whole.

Toonami's sucked for years, yes, but as long as it still existed there was always that small chance that things could turn around. That chance is now gone.

Here's what they shown:

-Gransazers
-Justirisers
-Sazer X
-Ryunkendo
-Masked Raider Faiz
-Masked Raider Blade
-Power Rangers Wild Force
-Power Rangers Mystic Force
-Power Rangers SPD
-Power Rangers Ninja Storm
-Power Rangers Dino Thunder

Unbelievable

What the hell happened to those years when they shown Gundam Seed and Seed Destiny........as well as Zoids from Battle Century up to Genesis?

Seriously, Toonami in my country is in a state of disarray

P.S.
However though

There have been rumors and hearsay about some new shows coming in for 2009.

These include Prince of Tennis, Inuyasha TV series and GI JOE Sigma 6.

Supposedly, these will complement CN Philippines' existing anime lineup (composed mainly of Pokemon Advanced Challenge, Naruto Season 1, PPG Z and Ani Yoko).

These titles are indeed a welcome (and a relief from all that sentai crap that they're showing atm ).

*Though I hope that they broadcast Code Geass English dub by next year too*

I always figured Toonami's death was the day that they cut off an hour of their block in response to Kids WB!'s bitching at them for stealing their thunder by starting at 4 p.m. (resulting in the loss of just about everything that made Toonami popular being knocked off except for Dragon Ball Z). So I didn't really see its "death" this year as "dying" so much that it was finally put to rest after the wondering the earth as a ghost for 7 years.

This was like finally putting the old cripped mangy dog to sleep

Toonami was glorious with the Daft Punk videos and other great shows, but then it just started to suck

I'd say I wouldn't worry since I have Animax (our Toonami got pwned some time ago too), but considering they premiere series rarely (like... 8 per year) and their rest of shows are repeated till death... UGH.
