Top gear testing the new Nissan GT-R R35

Honestly the best Top Gear I have ever seen. I knew it was going to be amazing so I ate dinner, get settled, grabbed a cup of tea, and went to the bathroom before watching it.

The best.

Obviously. :/ Japan's train system is *perfect*.

Also seriously? This is the only response from bemanistyle? The best show with one of the world's best cars? From what I've seen, other forums are eatin' it up.

I just fell on the floor when Clarkson said to that Japanese pump attendant that he could see her beaver from a mile away.

In case you didn't know, the mask he was wearing was of Bill Oddie, a British nature TV presenter, hence the beaver joke.

Funniest episode to-date.

Also, hail to the Nissan GTR.

Gawd, I can't wait for them to release the V-spec model (and thus hoping for a V-spec II model as well).

Atm, Porsche doesn't stand a f**king chance...........which only leaves the Corvette ZR1 as the remaining contender so far.

Indeed it's absolutely brilliant.

I mean what more can you ask for? It has an all-new VR38DE engine producing a minimum of 400+ hp, a solid DSG 6-speed tranny system by BorgWarner, brembo ceramic brake calipers and the latest iteration of the ATTESA ALL WHEEL DRIVE SYSTEM. This thing is a killer.

The only thing that I really disliked was the lcd in the center. Never been a fan of those. Other than that though, it's a winner in my book.

Did they mention pricing in the episode?

It looks fucking sweet as well. I might vector/vexel one after I've finished my Jazz.

Guess it's a personal thing/preference.

IMHO though, I prefer that ALL cars have a standard screen/monitor in all variants and in all specifications. It works better that way for me (see BMW 5er and Audi A5/S5 where the idrive and MMI respectively have standard screens installed).

I also think that this is true for high-end Nissans in Japan as well as for Infiniti vehicles. Lexus though is seeming relucatant to do this move. Heck I've even seen a 3rd gen Lexus LS that doesn't have the touchscreen as standard (my god, flagship car with base model features yuck)

Anyway that's just my opinion.

In the case of the GTR though, the screen and the menus and functions it houses all play an integral part of the vehicle itself. The real-time info and monitoring features are real cool as well.

Thanks indeed to Polyphony Digital (makers of the Gran Turismo series) and Xanavi (official provider of ITS and navigation systems for Renualt-Nissan Alliance) for this

YEAH SONNN WE GOT ANOTHER FIT/JAZZ LOVER

Also I think integration of satnav, screens, etc. is the bomb even if it's a little impractical to have to look down rather than mounting it on the top of your dash or summat (for a satnav). Seriously I love the slick clean look of it.

I'll do it in the same style as my Aston Martin DB9, so at least it'll be good quality =D

Actually just started it now. The Jazz is on hold, but I'll probably end up doing that in the same style as well, shouldn't take me long.
