I thought the movie was pretty good and true to the graphic novel. They changed some things around, but all in all it was good.

There were a few scenes I was expected to see too, they cut a bit of Dr. Manhattens backstory and the ending was changed a bit. They also didn't explain Rorschach's mask. I hear theres supposed to be an extended version of the movie with 30 min more footage when its released on DVD/Bluray/whatever...

I'd encourage people who are on the fence in seeing this movie to check it out. You might want to sit down and read the novel first though. I enjoyed it better than 300, which I thought was way more dragged out then this movie.

Also, for those who didn't know, David Hayter helped screenwrite this. I think he did a good job.

If you can't sit down to read the novel too, theres a motion graphic novel version of it as well. Amazon has the book itself in paperback for cheap as well...

David Hayter is the guy who voiced Snake in MGS?

also I read the whole backstory, but I am highly interested in picking up the graphic novels.

I understood what was going on. It really wasn't that hard to follow....

It has a unique storyline as well the gore scenes were really intact (little-to-no censorship when I saw it). Awesome visuals and its themes are second-to-none.

For those who are skeptical or hesitant, I highly suggest that you see the film first.

Watch "Watchmen" and you will get to experience something epic this time around...

I just saw it yesterday evening and I though it was awesome! For the most part it followed the graphic novel pretty well so I was quite pleased.

Damn those who got to watch the movie already.

=(

Mine here isn't schedule to release until the end of the month.
I always loved costume heroes.

This movie's effect will be juicy and awesome I think.

The Love Guru (2008)
I've heard it's a little hard to follow sometimes but it's ultimately understandable.

Eh? I thought you guys were supposed to have the same release date as you guys have (March 6th). Same day release along with Indonesia and Singapore?

Anyways, if it hasn't been shown yet, then you should see it when it is released in your area.........though personally, Malaysia film ratings are too harsh IMHO (hence why Watchmen might be rated as "18PL (18 Pelbagai)" instead of the PG-13 rating...

Watchmen is R here, so your rating of 18+ isn't that unreasonable. Especially with the multiple blue dong shots.

Got to watch it with a group of friends.
...
So, first exposure to ...er..things on free will. Had to close my eyes a lot. Haha. Weak Stomach plus other details.

The effects were good, I agree. And as for someone who doesn't like movies, I kinda enjoyed this one (Might have been for the eye candy. In this case, I mean pretty kick-butt girls. )

However, I was lost as well, but I never even heard of it until recently.

Oh, in the Philippines it's rated as R-13 (only peeps 13 years old and above can watch). Almost slightly similar to the "R" rating imposed by MPAA in America or somewhat as you've said.

Anyways, for those who haven't watched the watchmen, you must see it. If you have IMAX versions available, then go see it as well hehe

Oh yeah your right regarding. My mistake.

In a serious note, damn I really feel like I'd definitely want to watch it again (doesn't matter if it is in the cinema or on bluray Hi-def DVD). This film is really epic and kick ass to the extreme. Also, they've started releasing the graphic novel here in the Philippines as one whole book (this must be the one compiled by DC Comics themselves). Definitely gonna get a copy for myself this month (along with the V for Vendetta complete graphic novel)
