Tosin Abasi's (Born Of Osiris) solo instrumental progressive metal project.
I absolutely abhor Born Of Osiris, but I heard this a while back (before it was released actually) because a friend of mine knows the guy, and I was actually fairly impressed.
Sure, Piece Of Mind has The Trooper, but Somewhere In Time has Wasted Years... and the semi-title track. And this one. Why are people most likely to overlook this album in discussions of Iron Maiden's glory years?
true love is jacking off on a twenty dollar bill and giving it to the salvation army. put this in your sig if you believe in true love.

I don't get why their Infected Mushroom collaboration ("Artillery" on IM's Vicious Delicious) is so hated. I think it's a great mix of the experimental trance and the darker hip-hop of SM. Seriously, there's a lot of great hip-hop that isn't just "AW SKEET SKEET SKEET MOTHAFUCKA" out there.
Modest Mussorgsky: "Baba Yaga" from Leonard Bernstein/New York Philharmonic's performance of Pictures At An Exhibition. Mussorgsky really knew how to write some compelling pieces. I love this.
Ooh, it just switched to The Great Gate Of Kiev from the same performance. If you're going to end a suite, this is certainly the type of piece to do so with. The final crescendos are just amazing. You can't top that glory, so why try? End the damn thing. Thankfully, Mussorgsky does.
