I saw no Dick Dale, no Steve Vai, no Joe Satriani, no Buckethead, and no Ritchie Blackmore. List is a failure. Only bonus point goes to having a Black Sabbath song other than Iron Man, War Pigs, or Paranoid at number 9. Even if it wasn't Die Young. Which it should have been.

Though I have to admit myself
As much as I'm happy that they put Into the Night by Santana feat. Chad Kroeger on that list, I still felt that it needed to be put up higher in that slot.
Compared to the other guitar solos there, I did feel that it should've been placed a slightly higher slot/spot.
But that's just me

But that's just me | Wrong. It should not have been on that list at all. ESPECIALLY since it features Chad Kroeger. Santana's had many better songs than that.

Total Tokens: 407,831.12 Donate Tokens | 10 - "Into the Night," Carlos Santana feat. Chad Kroeger (or vice versa) Santana has like 100 solos better than this seriously
9 - "Wicked World," Black Sabbath hella interesting choice
8 - "Sweet Child 'o Mine," Guns n' Roses ahahahahahahahahahahah
7 - "Turn it Again," Red Hot Chili Peppers highly unusual pick here um what the hell
8? - "Crossfire," Stevie Ray Vaughn very diff. SRV pick here but whatev he would make most lists
5 - "Hotel California," The Eagles i love this song and this solo but come on guys really
4 - "Cocaine," Eric Clapton NOT THE BEST CLAPTON SOLO NOT EVEN CLOSE
3 - "All Along the Watchtower," Jimi Hendrix the only solo on the list that I whole-heartedly agree with and I mean 100%
2 - "Stairway to Heaven," Led Zeppelin unlike ribos i do enjoy zeppelin and i enjoy this solo in the context of the entire song but tbh it isnt that great just very popular and levied by the lead-up in the song
1 - "Free Bird," Lynyrd Skynyrd i saw this coming and hell id even include it but it is not the best guitar solo ever
edit: I will try to work on my own top 5, or top 10, to see what I come up with
and yes ribos you will furiously disagree with my list as well
edit 2: here we go
I refuse to call this list "The Top Ten Guitar Solos of All Time." Instead, it is "My Favorite Ten Guitar Solos of All Time" because I am nowhere near qualified to do the first one. I think it'll be pretty indicative of the style of solo I most enjoy.
10 - "Children of the Damned," Adrian Smith/Dave Murray (Iron Maiden)
9 - November Rain," Slash (Guns n' Roses)
8 - Paranoid Android," Jonny Greenwood (Radiohead)
7 - I'll See the Light Tonight," Yngwie Malmsteen
6 - Dawn Over a New World," Sam Totman/Herman Li (DragonForce)
5 - Hallowed Be Thy Name," Adrian Smith/Dave Murray (Iron Maiden)
4 - Comfortably Numb," David Gilmour (Pink Floyd)
3 - Rainbow in the Dark," Vivian Campbell (Dio)
2 - Goodbye to Romance," Randy Rhoads (Ozzy Osbourne)
1 - All Along the Watchtower," Jimi Hendrix
Honourable Mentions:
"Wheel in the Sky," Neal Schon (Journey)
"Snowblind," Tony Iommi (Black Sabbath)

After some careful thinking and analysis on my part, I do realize that I was wrong.
That list is only more like a top 10 personal list.
Plus the fact that yeah, there are still more guitar solos out there (that even any list could not contain).
So yeah, I do admit that I was wrong on that regard.
Sorry bout that.

Anyways, I'm still looking for some songs with good guitar portions.
I'm especially eager for those that have a lot of plucking hehe
