That's really sad that Robert Jordan died. I haven't read anything by this other guy that's writing the final novel, which I probably won't read for a very long time if ever.
I've read the first two books in the series, The Eye of the World and The Great Hunt. I can hardly remember them now as it's been 6 or 7 years. I do remember them being really good, though.
