Default where do you get anime?

I like to watch anime and was wondering where others get anime from. If you'd like to suggest an anime to watch as well go ahead.

I get most of my anime using Veoh TV but a lot of them are .flv files so i recommend you find yourself a good player before you download anime.

And Chrno Crusade is a good anime!

I get most of my anime for free on the internet, because I am strongly against supporting an industry that I like.

Or at least that's the average response to a thread like this.

Licensed anime: Netflix.

Unlicensed anime: crunchyroll or torrents.

Either way it's a gamble. There's as much bad stuff out there as there is good.

I'm the few that actually buy what I like, so when I feel the need to purchase a DVD, I hit up DVDPacific.

EBay works as well, just need to be careful for bootlegs and all that mess if you actually care about that kind of shit.

As for the other stuff, IRC Bots is my main resource, 2nd being private FTPs. 3rd would be newsgroups and 4th would be bittorrent as a last resort.

Yeah, i was planning to watch chrno crusade...eventually. haven't got around to it yet.
There is something called the Youtube downloader from the add-ons site for internet explorer that can convert .flv files. i convert to .avi so i can just watch it with windows media player classic.
here's the link: Windows Marketplace: Product details for YouTube Downloader

That is an incredibly weak argument, as 99% of the anime DVDs released also have sub tracks. But we've already had this discussion before. (we meaning myself, and some internet person)

I have a feeling in Japan they consider their voice actors just as cheesey as we'd consider the English dubbed actors here. Just a matter of perspective.

Anyway, Best Buy usually has good deals on boxed sets. Also, ebay has a sales site that is non-auction Half.com which is pretty good for finding dvd's and books (i.e. manga)

I wonder what the Japanese think of American cartoons given Japanese dubs.

I'm sure the words aren't translated properly there either.

When I'm buying anime I usually go to best buy for the inexpensive boxsets. and "Inexpensive" is an "at best" title as 30 bucks for all of Azumanga Daioh is grand theft.

I buy boxed sets when there is something that's even worth while anymore.

half.com is great...for bootlegs. rightstuf, dvdpacific, and deepdiscount are definitely the way to go. If you're going to buy bootlegs, you might as well just download it instead.
