Y'know, I really don't understand why people hate the Addison machine so much. I've done plenty of FC'ing of CZ/NM songs without much issues with a minimum amount of phantom miss/bad/goods. It's not a fcuking brand new FX/GX, so it's not super-responsive, but if you're been playing DDR within the past 7 years, you should be used to playing on those kinds of pads.

Now the Gold Coast pads on the other hand are torn to shi+.

i will admit june, i've found pump pads on older machines tend to hold up worse over a long period of time than ddr machines of comparable age. it's probably due more to the more difficult charts

I just talked to one of the gaming managers at the Addison D&Bs today.

He said sometime within one or two weeks they will have NX2 up and running w/ new cabinet.

Sometimes it just depends on who's maintaining the pads. Addison pads REALLY aren't that bad, but I guess some people are spoiled by new ITG2 machines or something, and suddenly every other machine that isn't brand spanking new SUCKS.

I guess I'm just sick of hearing the whining and bitching about how the machines in blahblah places sucks because the place doesn't have $10000 (PIU) or $15000 (ITG) or $18000 (DDR) for a new machine because ARCADES ARE A CASH COW OMG GREEDY ASSHOLES WE DEMAND NEW MACHINES OTHERWISE WE BOYCOTT YOUR ARCADE AND TELL EVERYONE ON TEH INTERWEB THAT YOUR PLACE SUCCCCKKKS.

Man, I need to stop posting drunk at 2AM.

Banya : That means it won't be in for another fucking month. They said that about Zero and it took them 3 DAMN MONTHS to get the upgrade.

Its nice to hear they are getting NX2, but like mentioned before its going to take longer then they say it will to put it on the floor. Big arcades are pretty slow like that... surprisingly.

Well here's how the exact conversation went:
(not exactly what was said, but same idea)

I asked the obvious question.
He actually knew what I was talking about.

GM: "Yeah, well we kinda skipped out on that other one... what was it (NX, I told him) Oh yeah! Yeah, but we're definately getting the new one soon." Or something.

At first I was apalled at a D&Bs GM knowing something about the games in their arcade.

I then asked how soon..

GM: "It's been on order for a bit, so (his guess I think) I believe sometime in the next... week or so."

me: Okay (then I left.)

It's all up for interpretation I know, I don't really know that one GM very well, but I'll choose to take him seriously for now.

Haha, the pads in Omaha DB are the shit. XD The machine's been around Zero was new, and it still works AMAZINGLY.

i'm not trying to argue or anything but you realize how incredibly vague those responses are right

"yeah we didn't get that one thing, what's it called" (waits for you to prompt him) "oh yeah, that! we ordered it. it should be here soon"

Sure it's vague.

I do think vague is better than nothing.
Considering a "timeframe" (however BS it is) was given.
