On a sidenote, I just swung by D&B Gold Coast, picked up a free copy of Gears of War (yay for having too many tickets), and tried NX2...I have to say, I already like NX2 a whole lot better than NX1, sans the fact that you NEED a USB plug to unlock anything.

And the pads at Gold Coast are actually working. Got a very few pad misses, but they were pretty far and few between, granted I also don't tap dance on the pads, but didn't have to stomp either.

I already ordered mine from Smidget, so the USB isn't a problem anymore.

I do believe you can use the 1GB stick for other stuff anyway, if I remember correctly.

I went to bowling green today. They just got a PIU ZERO. The machine is usually unplugged, dont bother asking though, just plug it in. The machine is not very loud. I will turn up the machines volume next time I go there (I got a key that fits in the door). They refuse to turn the machine volume up if you ask them too.

Just an FYI for anyone that doesn't care, one of the techs at D&B Addison pretty much said what I expected them to say: they MIGHT get it eventually (probably going to take as long as Zero). Because they don't make anywhere near the income as Gold Coast, they don't get the latest upgrades and stuff.

Doesn't help that their tech staff tend to be either stubborn about those kinds of things or one or two are just douchebags anyway.

Went yesterday and the machine was out of order, and they didn't even want to fix it. Said something like "It'll be fixed by Tuesday or Wednesday", or something.

I'm just gonna try and get into Gold Coast maybe on Tuesday. If I have time during the afternoon.

Play me some MF2.

Apparently I spoke too soon.

They installed NX2 today, it's running but apparently it's not working..I think either the USB slots aren't working or they can't get the credits to work correctly.

Figures.

Going to swing by tomorrow evening anyway

AT LEAST THAT EXPLAINS WHY THE MACHINE WAS DOWN ON SATUR- [/CAPS] Saturday.

Well, my friend went by today anyway, apparently the machine is running but something's wrong with the hardware, so they're waiting on their distro to send them a part, so if you went to Addison, it would've been a waste of a trip =P

Supposedly not until Thursday or whenever the part arrives =/

Checked briefly today. Went for lunch.

Saw it out of order and asked why, they said that power wasn't being sent to the USB thing. So they had it purposely out of order. They're getting a "new computer" for it or something.

I asked if they could just unblock it. They said sure.
Then I watched my brother play for about 30 mins and just left him there.

The machine is now up and running. (Except USB, so no World Max)
Still has the Zero marquee, but it's definately NX2.

Probably they're gonna change the CPU. USB thing is only compatible with the latest MK board, if I remember correctly.

Well shi+. The tech there had no damn clue what was wrong with it and wouldn't turn the damn thing on.
