Default Which cab is "better", FX or GX ?

hi guys,
i am going to buy a Piu machine, but i dont know which cab should i take =/
the FX cab is awsome cause of its plasma screen, but got problems with the burn in effect after some time.
but the FX cab is also 2000 doller more expensive than the GX cab.
is it worth buying a FX cab or should i save the 2000 doller and buy a GX cab?
your opinions please. i have never played on a FX cab so i dont know if its better than a GX cab.

btw can also someone who already bought one tell me some shipping company which can ship the machine to germany? i have searched for one but most companies can only ship up to max. size or weight which the piu machine doesnt have

edit:
how about the sound of the fx cab? i cant see any woofers at the cab so i thought the sound would be worse than the sound of a gx cab.

The FX has really good sound, and looks gorgeous.

But the GX has a very nice picture too, and it's less imposing for players(it's harder to read the arrows on an FX in my opinion).

If you're getting it in a public arcade, I'd recommend you buy the FX. It's got a presence that the GX does not. It really stands out.

To avoid burn-in issues, make sure to turn the demo play on for the machine so that it doesn't stay on the main NX title screen when nobody is playing.

the machine will be private =)
but is the burn in effect that bad i think?
cause i dont know if the screen will be still ok in one year .
i am not very keen on replacing the screen after a short time because of burn in.

GX also has the burn in deffect. I've seen like 3 of those with the "EXTRA" or "Prex 3" logos burned in the screen. Of course, I don't know if the FX cabinet's case is more critical, I've never seen one.

was it only the logo which was burned in or was it also the stepmarker, target (or how you call the grey thing on the top while you are playing)?
i saw some dx cabs where this thing was burned in

In my experience, I've only seen the logo burned in, so I can't confirm you that detail.

I don't know what Kyosuke is talking about regarding GXs and burn-ins... I know SD machines do, probably. And Extra GX machines don't even exist.

I know for a FACT that DX machines have this problem big time, but you're not getting a DX so you don't have much to worry about.

If it's a private machine, Rubbinnexx, then a GX is probably fine. If this is the case, the difference between the two is merely just looks. GXs are cool but common and not special, while FXs are kind of like the "luxury machine".

Yeah, maybe you're right and I got confused a bit in this matter (college has my brain saturated). My apologies if I missinformed you, Rubbinnexx, I thought you were talking about a DX cabinet, not GX

In any way, buying a GX or a FX would be just a matter of personal satisfaction. I know I'd buy a FX for myself if I had the money :>

after seeing the fx machine, to me, it seems kinda more delicate than the gx machine, somewhat easier to break... i mean it's slimmer than the gx so it'll definitely be high-maintenance...

if you're careful with the hardware, go for the fx since it looks cool with the graphic equalisers and stuff...

go for the GX. Why? When it's time to upgrade it'll cost you less since you have the extra money in pocket for the upgrade kit.

Unless he blows it on like, drinks or something.

I personally prefer a GX over an FX. The screen on an FX just throw me off a tad when playing, honestly.

yea true, the gx is cheaper and i have some money saved for future upgrades.....
but i thought about the future of the gx cab....
also if i want to upgrade to piu pro (its more exchanging the hdd) it should be very easy to do because i heard that the gx cabs are running on mk 6 and fx on mk7 but for nx it doesnt care....
but piu pro will run on mk 7 so i would have to buy also a new pcb and this would also be waste of money....
or am i wrong? does somebody know more about this?
this would also help me to choose one of the two.....at the moment i dont know which one i should take..... the difference of the cabs is too big (2000 $ ) =/

It really depends on which game you're going to play on it. If you're aiming for PIU: NX, then Get the FX cabinet... the only main issue with it would be a disputable lag because of the screen. As for the price difference, the cabinet is made with better quality(in terms of sound and video display of course. Not sure about sensors) and is a bit more flashy, basically what you would expect from a newer upgrade in an Anda Miro series.

If you're going to get PIU: Pro(For whatever reason..) then I would say go for the GX cabinet since the screen has no lag for sure, and timing is your key goal in PIU: Pro. While on NX and any preceeding version, you go for the combo.

If you're thinking of not buying one because of burn-in's.. all video display screens have a burn-in at some point or another. But it's completely avoidable, treat it like it were your home television, simply turn it off when you aren't using it. Burn-in's are due to a still image sitting in the pixels and thus 'burning' that image permenantly, if you're playing you won't have to worry about still images.

Hope I was of some help.
