to put it short, does anyone know where to find cheap upgrade kits. I wanted to get the machine to at least ZERO (NX or NX2 would be nice, but I think thats still way out of my price range).

Do you think I should just wait until a new game comes out and snag a used NX2 kit... if they ever release a new PIU game (as I am sure they will)?
Do you think they let people pay it off monthly... that would probably be my only option.

I dont see the point of asking them though. Its not like they have cheap upgrades right? lol
I am pretty sure Betson has the lowest prices, as I am sure no one else really sells upgrade kits.
Either way I asked Betson If I could pay them monthly if I get a upgrade kit from them, as it would be 15 weeks of non-stop working for me to even get that sum of money for a upgrade kit. Hopefully they will understand.
Also upgrades come in like the smallest box... EVER.

Btw, if you do go NX2... grab your friends too, so you can all enjoy awesome WorldMax!

The warehouse manager has not called back yet (well it is a weekend) so hopefully I will get a call this week, and set up a visit top the warehouse to test the machine.
I am just hoping this falls threw well on my expense.

Cost me $1,500 (this was in perfect working order btw)
Anyhow upgrade kits don't really lose value to distributors... so you would just about have to check Ebay for anything worth while for less. A while ago I participated in an auction for Exceed 2 with the MK6 board... it ended at $610... didn't win it.
But the average price for NX2 with an MK6 is about $1,600... you won't find that cheaper... and NX1 is at an identical price. Zero and older mixes will be most difficult to find... I'm under the impression that perhaps distributors send unsold product back to Andamiro.

Pump it Up SX W/MK3 (Came with PREX1 installed) :
Before I ended up buying this machine I made an offer and I do happen to watch ebay often so here are other items that went by while watching this machine and others :
Pump it Up Exceed 2 GX Starting Bid : $2,500 End bid $3,000
Pump it Up Premiere 2 SX BIN : $5,500 Offered : $1,500
Pump it Up Premiere 3 SD : $1,900 (someone purchased this over the SX I got... WTF)
Pump it Up Exceed 2 GX : Starting Bid $2,500 End : ???? (someone on PH got this... hear it required quite the cleaning job too)
Pump it Up Exceed 2 Upgrade kit with MK6 : Starting Bid : $150 End Bid : $610
Pump it Up Premiere 2 Upgrade kit : Starting Bid $200, Offered $150 for this and got it.... thats whats in the machine now.
and tons more stuff I've come across like a Dance Maniax machine.
There are a few machines on ebay right now : pump it up, Arcade items on eBay.com
Shipping from out of state is $500-$700 depending on the company you use
Don't take those three older machines to really be that price. The key is communication with the seller (no one in their right mind will pay $5,500 for those older machines) So you can make an offer and communicate with the seller to see if they're willing to let it go for your offer price. I lucked out and got something with no problems at all... but be sure to ask the seller if there are any problems with the machine. If the auction states it's fully working it better be.

I will be like "you realize that game is like 5 years old, and a new cabinet costs around $2,000 (for OLDER games)" Bur sometimes the seller will contact you back saying "Well I got it for a much higher price, and I am trying to make some profit".
This has happened to me before, and the seller would not let it go for cheaper. It was on a PIU machine too.
and I lol at the price of $5,500 for a 8 year old perfect collection. Even if it is a nice cabinet (the monitors seem to have problems on them though right?).

Hopefully the warehouse calls back tomorrow. If not I am going to give them another call, and contact the ebay members about their PIU machines.
EDIT: I just messaged one of the ebay sellers. He says he has a few that need some cleaning that he would let go at around $1,000. Is this a good deal (I think so, but I really dont get what he means by cleaning. Anyone want to enlighten me on that)? I decided to email him back asking the condition of the machine, and to see if everything is working, besides it needing to be cleaned.

How are the SX cabinets in general? I have never played on one, I have only played on GXs and a really crappy SD.
