Total Tokens: 11,391.36 Donate Tokens | Having trouble with combinations I recently found a PIU machine that has 25 cent plays, 4 songs a game. So I started getting into it after getting bored with DDR/ITG for now.
I was doing well, but I've gotten to the 7's and 8's that have combinations that seem impossible to do without double stepping or turning all the way around (which seems wrong...). Is there something I'm missing? I know you should be able to do it without that, but I'm confused...Any PIU experts feel like helping me out?
Thanks so much! | |

I remember one remix course we did (it's a 7th international machine) was one of the courses where the level was ?? and the BPM was 195 if that helps?

It definitely requires a lot of spin-stepping. You don't have to spin to hit those runs, but its a lot easier. There's ways to shift around and use the same foot twice so you don't need to spin, but its trickier. Fun if you can pull it off though. Its best to experiment with easier songs that have spins in them, like Greenhorn and Beethoven Virus.
Dignity's one of the toughest songs in the game, so its a bad place to start.

I'm still used to Zero, and haven't played NX yet so I don't know what the rating system looks like, but Hard = Blue. CZ = Pink
WPF they're doing the CZ chart.
And really, if its for speed, no one's trying to impress ^^u
But yeah, on hard, that song is full of turning sideways, spinning two full times, and stuff like that.

There are almost no songs on crazy which actually require you to turn all the way around. There are some songs with very complex twists, but nothing that can't be learned to do properly. One thing that will definitely get you better at pump it up, is to NOT DOUBLE STEP unless you're playing something very fast and difficult. Pump it up stepcharts are made specifically so you don't have to double step. Try playing Greenhorn, Deja Vu, and Turn Around without double stepping. They're low bpm songs with lots of nice twists and turns.

Of course, that kind of spins are kinda hard to make without enough experience.

Total Tokens: 11,391.36 Donate Tokens | What about Moonlight Hard? It's patterns in there that trip me up a LOT - I don't really understand how to do the twists and such that you guys all speak of, but I will be writing these songs down and taking them with me to my 25 cent machine, haha.
Any help on the mechanics of twists?

But once you get the hang of recognising them, the twists aren't that hard to do. Moonlight's twists are really quick ones, but ...iono "twisty" ones XD.
I must say Moonlight Hard is one of my favorite songs to double-step though.
