ITT we overanalyze NX backgrounds (the stories, that is)

Sure, there's the old overanalyzing background drama thread, but

A. It's filled with two posts full of nonsense on old videos, and
B. This is specifically about NX, so I think it can get its own thread.

Also a crossposting, so maybe between different forums we can make sense out of lunacy.

Firstly, whoever said Nexcade videos suck is insane. They're not as high quality as Freevolt's, but they're still awesome. They make up for the lack of style with their content.

That said, many of the stories make little to no sense. So let's try to figure them out. I'll start with the easy ones(my interpretations of them, at least)

Handsome Character That Pass
Student working as a maid gets crush on other student, fantasizes about herself as a pop star to win him over(?), is actually still just a maid. The ending is messed up, but funny.

Hold The Line
I think this is self-explanatory, but the female bear slapping the male bear reminds me of Xi Bom Bom Bom for some reason.

U Inside My Dim Memory
Boxer gets beaten up by bigger boxer, girlfriend/trainer proceeds to shape him up so he can go beat up... other boxers instead? Well, it's a happy end, at least.

For You
(AKA Dim Memory, with soccer)
France / Brazil / Mexico / Korea / ??? in world soccer tournament.(I forget the fifth country)
(Ignore the fact that each team only has one player.)
Girl encourages guy to win, guy gives girl a stuffed animal thing. Guy runs into light after presumably winning?

Bullfighter's Song
Bullfighter takes on bull with inspiration from the Andamiro All Stars audience. Bull kicks bullfighter's tail, and eventually makes a comeback somehow, then...a chicken shows up. (Further details welcome)

So
One of the mysteries. Definitely about heartbreak in some way or another. Didn't get to watch it much, but it's a very nice video.

Final Audition Episode 2-1
After the successful release of their first CD, the butterflies are enlisted in a war against some cannons. Considering that it's really hard to blow away a butterfly with high calibur ammunition, you can presume the butterflies win.

My Brother Is Street Singer
This one's a little crazy, like the song. Some girl in school punches a guy from the hallway through a window to the ground, while some animals with binoculars watch. Didn't get to examine this one too much...

Free
It's like Get Up with more realistic band members, the Emergency background, and the Witch Doctor girl providing backup dancing. Make of it what you will.

Fly
Eye candy, I think. Nice eye candy though.

Snow Dream
Um, no.

I guess the schoolgirl's daydreaming about a teddy bear for some reason. Maybe she's got a phobia considering how she's freaking out later on.

Hyun Jin Young Go Jin Young Go
This is the craziest background ever. Two guys, two girls(A swordsman, a guy with shades, a girl in pink, and a girl with a machinegun).

Maybe their dialogue helps, but not really:

Maybe it's not supposed to make any sense, but it's the funniest video in the game still.

One Night
It's been said the guy looks like a pimp, meaning the girls are...well, think creatively. I'd like to dispute the claim, but it's pretty hard not to.

I didn't watch the pop songs much, so they're open to conjecture, same with any of the earlier ones that didn't make sense.

FAEP 2-1, man that was a good story. But its not just NX songs that have BGA's that don't make since. Here's an example from PIU Exceed. Dignity, flying eyeballs make people go insane and a flying sheep saves the day is the best i can come up with which makes absolutely no since. Same with canon D, flying eye army comes, she gets followed etc. Andamiros going crazy just like the people in Dignity.

I wish the dance scenes were back, they were so weird but cool.

Here's the best i can come up with for chimera. There was a battle a long time ago and all the supposed gods were praying for them or something. And alot of archeologists explore the civilization that burned down, along with all the artifacts.

Chimera is actually just a lot of historical references to Mexico compiled by one of their Pumpers for Yahpp, from what I heard.

No, not only Mexico, but a lot of mesoamerican cultures, as well as a quick explanation of the hispanic invasion and the conquest of most of the native cultures of America.

I saw some masks and other stuff made by other cultures that weren't exactly living in (nowadays) mexican territory (like the Incan culture).

So - Typical "oh-noes-my-boyfriend-/-girlfriend-is-cheating-on-me-woe-is-me!" video. Seriously, I feel sorry for any girl that appears in a slow and sad song in PIU. There's always a 99% chance they'll get screwed like a 1000 light bulbs, and i'm not talking about sex neither.

Snow Dream - Happy girls in snow. Ok, I know it uses the original MV, but I just wanted to say that. There's even Yuuichi in there. *cough*obscurerefrencejoke*cough*

Bullfighter's Song - Some sissy matador takes on a biped bull. He loses horribly at first, but then, using his "masterful" negotiation skills, bribes the bull into losing. Oh and hooray for cameos.

FA: Ep 2-1 and 2-2 - The newest shooter from Andamiro, Butterfly Survivor! The goal of the game is to destroy the nasty cyclop eye tank people and rescue your butterfly comrades from danger. But beware of the huntsmen, for his bad aiming may cause you instant death. Comes in Shocking Green and Electrifying Blue.

Fly - Beneath all the eye candy, comes a very deep lesson. You can now spell Epik. Unfortunately, they spelt that wrong too

. At least the song kicks ass.

U Inside my dim memory - Kick boxer dude enters a championship tournament. First round and he gets knocked out temporarily (sissy.) Cue flashbacks of training w/ his girlfriend. She gets angry because he said she gained weight. She runs off and cries, like all women do when they're upset (don't hurt me plz.) Back to reality, guy proceeds to kick ass, and he wins in the end. And the girl and the dude make up, becuase it doesn't matter if she is fat, she still makes good lovin. (above insert is for pure comedic purposes, so please don't hurt me. >_<.)

Handsome Character That Pass - I think iwakura nailed this one, except I think she works at some sort of dress up coffee shop. Also the dude loooks much better in shades. >_> <_<. Oh, and the guy made a funny face in the coffee shop because of the fact that he has a nightmare about the ending of the song on CZ. He even acts out trying to do it.

Sam-I-am - Extreme makeover, with a black chick. And the girl's name is Sam. >_> <_<

Chimera - It's pretty much Can Can, only not as seizure causing, and more stepping. Also, ULTIMATE SPEED!

I'll tackle some more when I feel like it.

What's with all the eyes in everything, FAEP's, dignity, canon d, everything now! What is the point of having cannons against butterflies, is it supposed to be like underdog to the rescue or have like against all odds. I'm pretty much finding that all videos are becoming completely unrelated to the song but oh well. This thread's getting funny

as far as i know chimera was based on peruvian people as kyousuke said...
basically it show off incan culture stuff...
also aint see any mexican stuff like a "coakroach"(?)

, or any mexican hat...
or anything like it.. so i dont think that chimera vid was made of mexican culture

I can't even play We Goin' Fly, so my theories on that have to wait. The steps scared me.

I think Jenet's Episode 2-1/2-2 analyzation wins, for including the other half.

The only thing I couldn't figure out about Handsome Character was why it kept going from her in class to her in a concert to her as a maid... this is one schizophrenic girl.
