Default Mexi Mexi On Crazy has a 276 BPM?

I was reading some things on Wikipedia.com and It had a list of songs for each PIU game. Nezt to the song "She likes Pizza", It noted that it was the fastest song in the game, with a 230 BPM, but also noted that Mexi Mexi had a 276 BPM on crazy mode. O_O I found this rather odd, seeing as no other song has differing BPMs base don difficulty. Please clarify! is this true?!

Yes, Mexi Mexi's BPM doubles on Crazy mode for no particular reason other than to piss everyone off. Actually, D.J. Nightmare does that too, or at least it does on Exceed (it's the earliest version I've played, so I have no idea about any difficulty/chart changes made before that), but it's slightly slower (I want to say 114 BPM normally, but I'm not sure; somewhere in the 110-115 range.)

The music isn't sped up, just the scroll rate of the chart. Basically, if you're playing on normal speed, it's scrolling twice as fast, as if you were playing it on 2x. The music is unchanged.

So, theoretically, you're playing nearly twice as many notes as you would playing the normal BPM. that's pretty freaky. and it's mad random too. stuff liek that freaks me out.

So...does it notify that it's 276 BPM when you change to crazy or is it just a little annoying surprise?!

Think of it this way: Whatever speed mod you use on the song (including normal) is doubled. That's all it means. The chart is otherwise relatively unremarkable. And no, you get no warning. The first time I played it I had it set to 3x or 4x and I had to just watch the steps go whizzing by. The same thing happened to me with D.J. Nightmare >.<

I wouldn't imagine it has any way of telling you, since the BPM is on the banner and everything...

I swear I've played Mexi Mexi on crazy though, and the BPM was the same. Maybe I just forgot to turn the right speed mod on or something.

mexi mexi is written to have double its BPM, in all of the other charts about four measures after they start the bpm halves to its original bpm, hince why Mexi^2 has the WEEEEE bpm -.-

Even in Zero, where the BPM is listed below the song, it doesn't tell you. Then again, it also lists ??? for pretty much anything with a variable BPM, so it's really not that informative to begin with.

Ah, I didn't know that about Zero. And just for the record, I took a really long time writing that last post...

Andamiro love doing silly tempo changes that are exclusive to certain charts.

Just look at Phantom.
