There's clearly enough demand for this, so I don't see why it'd be a bad idea to post a how-to on creating a metal PIU pad!

use anthony's instructions for the basics but wire it to the proper buttons (triggers and x for ps2/color buttons and start for xbox) and it should be a smooth project

The hard part for this is to find the parts. Sensors, pannels, metal plating, I think converting a cobalt flux would be easer but this sounds awsome. If you could make them last a while and have a good price, people would buy it (that and its like one of the ONLY metal pads made for PIU).

The screen wills spin and battle music will start to play. You and drunk friends will be forced to stand in a line rocking back and forth holding over sized swords. A group of retarded looking monsters will appear and you will take turns hitting each other. When it is all over you will get 648 Gil and a fire ring. Why the 12 foot tall monster with no hands had a fire ring that fits everyone from you to your grandma will still be mystery to man.

That`s a nice idea including that the original pads doesn´t have the resistance of the metal pads. So you can do your best

Talking about sensors and lamps you can find 'em into videogames dealer

about the lamps... mmm you can use ultra bright leds( white, or blue red and yellow), they uses less energy and are cheaper than original lamps, obviusly they are easier to find

i made a ddr pad and i've been wanting to do a piu pad 4 a while. there not that hard and i would like to revise my plans too. i would be eternaly greatful if some one could post a full size pic of the arrows and center pannel . in my plan used 1/4 " thick plexi for the pannels , thats been working pretty good . as the wiring and contacts go i just used some cat5 and an old contoller box from a soft pad , the contacts i've been revining and making them better as i go . but yeah it would be great to see some pic's of your's and a tutorial would be great.
