Total Tokens: 163.38 Donate Tokens | PIU in United States? Why isn't PIU more popular in United States?
The only console release was on the PS2 and Xbox, and that was back in 2005.
I just found out about the PIU games for PSP (and purchased one through Play Asia)
Is there someone I can contact to get PIU to be developed in United States?
I live in Florida, and most people don't know what I am talking about, lol.
Now that music rhythm games are more popular, it would be nice too see PIU on PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii.
Thanks for your time ^_^

Then you add all of the console releases that they came out with and you have yourself some pretty big competition. PIU however is more popular in most countries especially Mexico. But its been pushing itself into the mainstream little by little and it has grown on the general population of the US believe it or not. Thats why they collaborated with pump pro so they could win some of the 4 panelers over to join the 5 panel gang. Don't expect a console release to come out any time soon because andamiro's really random about releasing new home stuff. Just keep your fingers crossed and represent as much as possible so it gets more popular here in the states.

I plan on making some PIU music mixes on YouTube soon, so that should help a little bit, lol.
I already make DDR mixes: YouTube - Silvercube88's Channel
I do hope PIU does become more popular, it certainly has some amazing songs. I really enjoyed playing it on the Xbox.

Also you have to look at U.S. players and say "will you even like this song?" Many of the songs are not in english, or have no lyrics, and that may discourage people from playing. Also since DDR is more popular, seeing the arrows, let alone getting used to them will take some time, and the games learning curve is MUCH higher then DDR's.

Because more people have played DDR, and anytime I show someone Pump they're like "EW 5 BUTTONS THATS RETARDED AND DIFFICULT I DON'T WANNA PLAY" instead of actually trying something different.
95 percent of us are afraid of trying new things

That's new to me, specially since PIU doesn't have a lot of spanish songs (like... 2? 3? and 2 of them sound weird as heck).

There would also need to be a new home pad design. Preferrably a little more durable than Exceed SE's, which can twist around like hell on a carpet. However I would not like a wireless pad. Unless it was bluetooth, I don't trust the reaction time otherwise.
This has been talked about before, but, I don't really think PIU needs to be
on PS3/360 (yet).
Who knows, PIU may go HD in the next mix LOL. jk.

Total Tokens: 11,155.49 Donate Tokens | There's some places in Florida where Pump is huge, like Orlando(I hear Disney Quest has five cabinets or something).
It's also got a small following in SoFla. It's popular enough in most places that they keep the cabinet around, even if it's not nearly as huge as DDR/ITG.

Total Tokens: 20,557,836.64 Donate Tokens | For console releases, PIU does not have anyone to localize it in America. Mastiff did Exceed, but did a shi+ job doing it. No marketing exists for it, printed WAY more copies than they could chew, and making the release look rather dismal.
If AM could find someone to localize a US version while being convinced that it would make money (which honestly, competing with DDR, it's quite hard), then maybe. However, whoever brings it over to America really needs to be able to market the crap out of the game here to make it remotely successful, which is a feat that most American companies probably doesn't want to put up with.
And there's absolutely NO point in making music games for a console that most people don't own. The majority of the market is on PS2, that's the console of choice, especially for a game that has very little exposure here.

Why? Because casuals will go "zomg look a dancing game!". And if the distributor goes with a "lol look you can do exercise with this!" advertisement, the effects will be bigger.
Still, considering online capabilities and the posibilities to expand game with downloads, achievements / trophies and all that crap, X360 and PS3 would be better choices.
