I can't seem to find any reviews on it. Is this thing worth it? It seems like the quality is really good, and their pads are the only ones I can find.
Sorry if this has been a thread before.
EDIT: And do you guys know if they work with converters? I bought a PS2 to USB converter for PS3 a while ago, and the computer was able to read the stick that I used, so I would imagine so. But it never hurts to be safe.

It hooks up well to my computer for Stepmania, and it works on PS2.
Haven't tried it on PS3. Though I don't see why it wouldn't work. It is USB.
As for quality, it is pretty good. Takes a while to get used to it, and the metal corners are sharp xD
Just don't be suprised that your shoes wont slide well on it at first. Brand squeaky-clean new

I would never use it for PS3....well, actually I guess I could for the PS2 version of Exceed; I hadn't thought of that.
But, yeah, as long as it works on PC, that's all I really honestly need to know. Thanks so much!

How long did yours take to get to your place? I'd hope shipping was speedy since it costs an arm and a leg. o_0

Total Tokens: 149.89 Donate Tokens | I was taking a look at these, and I was just wondering if MyMyBox has upped their quality at all because I remember I purchased some metal DDR pads from eBay (MyMyBox SoloModes along with MyMyBox Hard pads). The only thing I could say about them is that they're the crappiest thing I'd spent my money on. Arrows cracked, the whole middle of one of the hard pads caved in, responsiveness deteriorated and a bunch of other things. I'd appreciate it if someone could inform me about their newer pads seeing as those purchases were quite a few years ago when metal pads were just coming out. Anyways, back to these pads, they look pretty high quality in contrast to my old mymyboxes. Once I see some reviews, I'll probably end up purchasing one.
BTW, does anybody have instructions for home made pads?

But it got shipped, so that's cool.
It was going well on the 4 business days that it was assumed to take to get here, but it didn't make that mark, of course. The tracker says it finally reached Kansas, though, so they may have hit the mark with their 2/12 approximation.
If I get it in, I'll be more than willing to answer any questions about it; I'll probably have a bit of a run down about it myself.

Total Tokens: 3,796.11 Donate Tokens | Yeahhhh, so I got it in a, like, 12PM on the dot. It's not TOO bad, but it's faaaaaaaar from spectacular.
I only got to play on the damn thing for like 20 minutes, but this is what I have to say about it thus far.
Upon receiving the thing, I noticed that the box was REALLY beat up from the ride here. At least, that's what I hope it's from, because if my pad was this beat up before they even sent the damn thing out, that's sad. The black outline has a nice dent in it around where the up-right button is. My buttons are also nice and scuffed up, with a nice scrape on the lower left corner of the middle button. So that's hot.
Upon actually using the thing, I got the feeling that it isn't arcade quality by far. In fact, it doesn't even FEEL like an arcade pad. It feels big and sturdy, but the buttons don't feel as good. It's not the same thick material that arcade pads use. On the contrary, they feel weak, and they'll probably get beat up relatively easily. So I'm not looking too forward to that. So, just know that, if you get this thing, the weight isn't a symbol of quality; it just stops the damn thing from moving when you play on it.
The website talks about how the buttons are more sensitive than ever, thus resulting in higher scores. BULLSHIT. In fact, the thing is SO sensitive that it picks up minor presses that wouldn't normally pick up on an arcade pad. The result is a reception of Greats and Goods. I actually got some random Bads, too, so that's always hot. It also makes picking songs and setting speed mods a chore, which is really unfortunate.
I was using this thing in Stepmania. When I went to set the button configurations for this thing, the pad registered perfectly fine, but the control box didn't work at all. So I need to find out why that's doing that.
The good news is that it comes AS USB, so you don't need a converter for PC. You just plug it up, and, assuming you have XP or Vista, it installs by itself. It took all of about 30 seconds, which was right as my computer was loading up from a fresh restart. lol So that's really good.
Above all, from the bit of time I had with it, it's serviceable. It's REALLY hard to recommend considering it costs an arm and a leg. It looks of a higher quality than it is, so it could start to degrade with more use. But it does serve its purpose. From here on out, I don't have to go to the arcade to practice. This helps heaps, and I can assume that my scores at the arcade WILL be better because of how inaccurate this thing can be.
My opinion could actually change; it might just take some getting used to/breaking in, but for now, my expectations are really, REALLY low.
6 out of 10
If anyone has any questions, I'm more than willing to answer them. I'll be giving more and more run downs of this thing as time goes by.
In the meantime, I'm gonna try to find out how I can get this thing to work with Pump PC, since I have a bunch of NX stuff on here that I never got to play at an arcade since nobody unlocked them. XD
WISH ME LUCK! | |

Total Tokens: 3,796.11 Donate Tokens | It's starting to work a lot better; it's not registering any random goods or greats for me right now, but I did get a couple random bads. A lot better than what was going on earlier.
So, at the current moment, my biggest beef with the thing is that it doesn't register as a gamepad when you plug it into the computer. That's a bit of a problem because I'm having trouble finding a program which you can use to bind keyboard keys to PERIPHERALS rather than game pads. I tried JoyToKey, but it didn't work for that very reason.
So, yeah, that's kinda shitty. There HAS to be SOME program that can do what I want it to do.

You can't bind any more than the five face buttons and three control box buttons in Stepmania; trying to do so resorts in the game rebinding the back left button....or it might be the top left button. Anyway, that's weird.
Other than that, the thing's been registering like a charm. It's actually easier to hit threes than I'd like it to be, since there is no metal separating where the two buttons touch. Kind of a minor complaint, but it's still worth mentioning.
But, yeah, so far it seems like this thing was made ONLY for PS2 Exceed and Stepmania. They REALLY should have had this thing install as a gamepad.
More critique when I get it!
