You missed that I first brought up the radar for GF/DM, which you're obviously unfamiliar with. It's radar does indicate cross overs, bass, rolling, etc ,etc.

See, I get that Nexcade(or whoever) is trying something new with the skull system, and that's fine.

My problem is that I don't understand what the skulls mean. When I play a skull chart, I tell myself "okay, that's a 17" or "that's a 19", because that's what I've always known.

The skulls are fine for new players, but for those of us accustomed to the number system, we don't know what to expect until we play it.

I agree it was a good change, but for those who know the numbers its confusing. it's confusing to new people too.
I'm just hoping we can get used to it.

Only a mentally handicapped person can't get the gist of it after a few songs. That's like saying it's hard to understand the 4.0 GPA scale just because you're too used to having numerical grades in the 100 scale.

And it's NOT what you've "always known". Before Exceed they didn't have this. It was a different scale then. Crazy had its own unique setup, separate from the levels of other modes.

Er, specifically, I'm most accustomed to the 1-19+ scale. I remember the old scale too, but I think they managed to translate it to 1-19 well enough that it should be the standard. (It only really became necessary thanks to NMs, I think.)

Idk about others but, from what i've seen a lot of people started around Exceed/Exceed2, so that was what they were used to. I don't have an NX around me, but i have played one. It was confusing the first time I played. If we had one around i could get used to it.

Uhh, I was accustomed to the old scale, and now that NX is out I'm accustomed to the new scale.

Am I the only one who doesn't see the problem here? When you see a 5 skull, that doesn't mean it translates to a 19 or whatever -- it means it's a 5 skull. That's what it is. It's not hard, guys.

You all honestly look way to far into these things. Some songs are rated wrong, sure, but for the most part it works great and I agree with the change.

I like how they realize how some songs were way over/underrated before and changed. Witch Doctor and BOTW2 are both the same as Free on CZ. I still have trouble with the former two because drills own me.

I gave up on trying to relate everything when I seen the BOTW2 regraded. I was like, "Wow....OK. Well, there goes that then. Slam's only one skull!?"

I'm not trying to be rude by all means, but I think that was a bad example. From my understanding the GPA system has been around for a long time. I believe that [most] people understand the system, there are variations but for the most part its similar. and again from my understanding the GF/DM{only time i mention it} has always been the 1-100 scale.
Now with PIU there have been 3 different difficulty scales, and [almost]everyone is used to one or were, and then after Exceed/Exceed2/Zero people were used to the numbers. the only machine i have is a Zero so when i was on an NX it was hard for me to look at the stars and not think "No it's a XX Rating."
IMHO we'll get used to it..
