1st place prize is as listed (no cash). And it's not just airfare, it's the whole weekend trip.....hotel, meals, transportation around Seoul, translator, tour, receptions, etc. Airfare alone averages around $1000 (and up) from the USA to Seoul, South Korea.
But the best part is that it also gets you into the exclusive club that will compete at WPF, for a shot at the $146,000 up for grabs. First place is $30,000 in your case. Even just an 8th place finish scores you a cool $1000.

Only if they get chosen......likely not all will.....depends on if they exceed the cap for number of visitors (300 total, I believe it was, for the 20 WPF countries). I think they will have to have the random drawing.
