For me, personally, I have LOADS of fun. But also for the vids, cause they're pretty awesome.

I play Pump it Up mainly because:

-I absolutely love most of the featured tracks in the games. It has variety for everyone.

-Videos from Pump have always been a very pleasant plus in the games. It gives it a unique atmosphere while playing.

-The stepcharts are also an important plus. You can find really broken stuff for speeders, really easy steps to learn how to play (or just to have fun) and perfect routines for Frestyle.

-I have a lot of fun with it. It's the purpose of a videogame after all.


I wouldn't see it as something to do exercise. There are other more effective activities than Pump for that purpose

well, only that I play piu, just to know met people =P it is a great spot to do that

-Music (I love hearing the new songs they find, especially ones I've never heard)
-Videos (The hardest thing about sight reading for me is I always try to figure out the stories at the same time)
-Stepcharts (No double-charted game in the world can touch the awesomeness of Freestyle or Nightmare yet.)

And to a lesser extent, freestyle appeal, since no other dance games seem to have charts that can work with routines.

The only thing that keeps me going with pump is pretty much the fact that I played the crap out of DDR and ITG and I wanted something new to try. It's a lot harder concept but still maintaining its funness(word?). The songs rock, the BG vids are cool, and the difficulty is tough(which is a plus).

edit: Oh yeah and work out.. but that's just dance games in general.

-Movies and graphics in general have a lot of work put in to them, like IIDX BG Vids
-Licensed songs are actually good and not just novelty
