Default Cookin Turkeys

i cooked my first turkey yesterday. It went very well. However i learned that a 20lb turkey is waaaay too much for 4 people. So if you want some turkey, come over.

I cooked it for like 3.75 hrs at 325F.

A good way to keep it really fucking juicy is putting bacon all over the breast

And butter under the skin

and evoo on the skin

you get the point.

My sister used Alton Brown's recipe from the Food Network and for someone who's never cooked more than an egg in her life, it was absolutely delightful.

It involved brining the turkey (which kept from drying out and gave it a good flavor). We almost accidentally bought a frozen one the day before Thanksgiving which would've been disasterous.

Oh, and our oven broke. Good thing we had a random turkey roaster in our basement. o_O
