Default Favorite Ice Cream

Since no one has asked in these boards why not start one? What is your favorite ice cream and what brand do you prefer?

For me it would be sweet cream icecream from coldstones. Yes they are expensive for a scoop but it is really damn good.

I also like chocolate, vanilla, cookies and cream, mint chocolate chip, cookie dough, strawberry cheesecake. Dreyers/Breyers also when they are on sale. @_@

mint choco chip is always good, but so is birthday cake, turtle swirl, and tons of others. Can't really make up my mind.

The marble slab creamery is one of the best places to ice cream from.

My favorite is mint chocolate chip. The chocolate and the mint provide a really good contrast to each other.

Other flavors that I like include vanilla, strawberry, chocolate chip cookie dough, cookies and cream, and cheesecake.

In terms of store-bought brands, I like Breyers and Edy's.

For fast-food ice cream brands, I like Coldstone Creamery and Graeter's Ice cream, although they are expensive. There are a few local ice cream stores where I live that make good ice cream and have good prices for it too (hello $1 Tuesday scoops)

In terms of the buy-this-at-the-store type, it's any chocolate chip cookie dough flavor, followed by strawberry ice cream/sorbet (I can't remember who made that awesome strawberry sorbet I like), followed by mint chocolate chip (sans Slake).

In terms of buy-by-the-scoop, it's Cold Stone Creamery's Cake Batter with coconut (which I have come to call Haupia Cake), followed by Marble Slab's Amaretto with almonds (which I call Almond Overkill), followed by the strawberry mochi ice cream sold by Bubbies (which is obtainable in the supermarkets, but it wouldn't last long enough at my house for me to eat it).

Coconut. Followed by Cookies and Cream. The best coconut ice cream I have had was sold by a guy on a beach in Puerto Rico.. it was so good.

The best ice cream I've ever had is at a local chain called Chocolate Shoppe - "you want nutrition, eat carrots." Oatmeal Cookie is good stuff (not on their website though - hope they didn't can it). Other favorites include cookie dough, cookies 'n' cream, butter pecan, anything with caramel, and a good real vanilla.
