While I haven't eaten that much sushi, from the ones that I have eaten, I like the salmon the best. The California roll isn't that bad, however.

Aztec Roll.

I think its a local exclusive... so I doubt you know it.

Basically, its a roll with mexican ingredients. Meat, Cheese, Jalapeņos...

I wouldn't know, I love to loathe Taco Bell.

Only good thing there are those Cinnamin Twist thingies.

Isn't Toro like the insanely expensive part of tuna? The one that costs like 10 bucks for two pieces?

Yup. That's it. It's fatty tuna. Everyone keeps telling me that it's the best sushi ever, and that you have to know where to find it. Some places are better than others.

I've read that toro is supposed to "melt" in your mouth. Sounds kinda gross, yet sorta intriguing.

I am a fan of tako, unagi, and the various spicy rolls. Just stay away from the uni. Honestly, sushi is just a vehicle for my soy sauce and wasabi.

Someone told me you can't go to a sushi bar without trying Uni... Is it really that gross?

I don't like it. It's sea urchin. It's kinda salty.

Correction: Uni is the insides of a sea urchin. It's also DAMN expensive.

I'm a fan of the maguro (the cheap tuna) and sake (salmon) nigiri. I also like hamachi nigiri (white fish, don't know what it's called in English), ebi nigiri (shrimp), inarizushi (it's in a light brown wrapper) and tekka maki (the sushi, not the DJ).

For something different, try the tobiko (fish egg) nigiri. They looks like little orange pearls, and they pop in your mouth (something that amuses some, and grosses out others).

Todai serves so-so stuff (at least it isn't rotten, like the Genki Sushi maguro I bit into. . .). The best sushi is the one served in Japan.

Heh, tobbiko is more fun to eat then Ikura (salmon egg), even though Ikura is WAY more expensive.
