I'm glad I found this thread- I love all kinds of sushi!

I'm a fan of unagi, sake, ubi, tekka, ebikyu, hamachi negi, California and Alaskan Maki. I also love Red Snapper Maki, but it's rare to find.

The one roll I'm interested in (but probably will never try) is a Spider Roll. Anyone know what's in that thing?

Obviously. You can't eat the spines on the outside.

Huh? I must've tried some cheap stuff. It was only $2.50.

This is usually soft-shell crab. It's very good and I highly recommend it.

You really can't go wrong with sushi. Unagi is awsome when you get it when they're just done making it. California rolls are really filling and delicious. I've had some of the raw stuff and found it equally yummy. Just avoid anything that looks somewhat innocent or cute. They genneraly have wassabi hidden in them and if you don't like hot stuff it is really a bad supprise.

I love maguro gunkan-maki. That's my favourite sushi.

Actually, I just really love maguro (tuna) in all shapes and forms since I can't have sake (salmon) anymore. :P

For me, I would say the Philly roll. It has salmon, cream cheese and avocado. Yum yum. I do like other types like cali roll, tuna, spicy tuna, salmon, yellowtail, the ones with tempura on top, baked seafood like crab, lobster, scallop. Basically, I like almost any type of sushi there is.

A good uni where I'm at is about $8. . .but everything is way more expensive in Hawaii than it should be (just look at our gas prices).

I will find out the name of that white-fleshed fish I keep on munching on. . .
