Butter and lots of it with a very light coat of syrup. Pure bliss next to waffles with the same on it.

Butter and syrup. Usually loads and loads of syrup, and a decent amount of butter to soften them up before the added syrup. Also sprinkle some cinnamon & sugar on top, and that will have to do.

I have them with light syrup, add more than that and you're eating soggy syrup. Not very appealing imo.
