MEAT: stuff behind the glass at albertsons, its not very lean so they come out pretty damn juicy. Marinade in worcestershire sauce. Cooked in a pan only because i dont have a grill, but when im at my parents house dem suckers get de propane. cooked until slighty red in the middle.
BUN: potato bread. must be potato bread.
LETTUCE: romane
TOMATO: just one slice is good enough.
BACON: two slices of farmer john.
ONION: grilled, why would you ever eat an onion on a burger any other way (unless its an onion ring)
CHEESE: omg swiss, or if im feeling fancy ill use bleu.
OTHER STUFF: mayo and ketchup (special sauce), avacados if i have any, alfalfa sprouts if i have any, german pickle on the side.
otherwise in-n-out is for pros, jack in the box is for the skilled, carl's jr and burger king are for the decent, mcdonalds is for the sub-mediocre. | |

Honestly, every once in a while Ill do a bacon cheeseburger version of this, but usually its just a standard beefburger with lettuce onions coleslaw and ketchup. will add bbq sauce if its within arms length. I like that alot, but Im up for a ton of other shit.

Marketplace Rating: 0 | This is what I usually do when I make a burger at home or during a nice old BBQ (burger items not necessarily in this order) - Toasted bun (of course)
- Beef patty, slightly marinated in some Worcestershire (which is almost obligatory in my burgers) and a bit of Italian dressing, cooked medium for a thin burger (read: frozen patties from the market) and medium rare for a thicker patty (read: do-eet-urself). Try cooking one of them market ones medium-rare, it's too easy to over or undercook.
- Cheese. It's varied to what I've felt like having. American if it's for company (i.e. I'm not getting nice cheese for 15 people
), Cheddar or Mozzarella for a few people, and if I'm really feeling exorbitant, bleu cheese. - Bacon. Bacon. Yes. Bacon.
- Greens: Again, varies. Sometimes it's butter lettuce, sometimes it's alfalfa sprouts, and as diekatze mentioned, cole slaw. YES.
- Grilled onions or French's Fried Onions (you know, the topping people use for green bean casseroles)
- As for sauce or spread, it varies. If I have cole slaw in it, none. Anything else can go from just plain mayo, to that "Dijonaise" stuff they sell, or sometimes I get some mayo and mix some horseradish sauce into it. I have used pasta sauce for a burger a few times (when I used mozzarella too) and it is AMAZING. If I use the store kind, I get the thinner sauces. If I make it at home (which I haven't done as much as I'd like as of late), they end up being chunky and I store it that way, so I take a bit from a batch I have saved up and throw it in the blender for a bit and use that.
In conclusion: I <3 pizza burgers.

Though to be honest, it was a very tight match which even led to a tie-breaker.
The difference was only like a few miliseconds. Damn.
Anyways, they're crazy eaters (that's all I can say).
---------------------------------------
Going back to burgers:
Well, apparently, I generally have no problem eating burgers with veggies and other stuff on it.
Of course, a plain burger....or simply one with lots of ketchup....or lots of gravy...or lots of teriyaki sauce....or with lots of cheese (such as the one pictured above) is pure lust and will no doubt offer mouthwatering satisfaction to my taste buds.
Granted, we don't have something as humongous or as gargantuan as what they offer to you guys over there at Stateside................but one can only crave for such.

One of my friends told me his aunt mixed some diced cherries into their burger meat before cooking. Man did he love it.
