In this topic, we are to discuss our favorite sandwiches, preparation methods, and ingredients/brands of choice.
Here's what I've done for the past week: Two slices of Rye bread, drop French's yellow mustard in droplets all over, then sprinkle with shredded colby-jack and/or mozzerella cheese. Microwave for 10-20 seconds (basically, you're trying to melt the cheese and warm the bread). Shred up the Pastrami, sprinkle on as necessary, and put the breads together for a sandwich.
Very tasty, but I grow bored of this formula and I am running out of Pastrami. So a new sandwich is in order.
Tell me, Bemanistyle, how do you enjoy your sammiches?

Lobster meat sandwich = I bolillo (sp?) or baquette, that kind of shaped bread, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, imitation lobster meat, and a light dressing, such as balsamic viniagrette. If you like them, you can have black olives as well.
OR
Thinly sliced chicken breast, grilled (if you have a George Foreman grill, use it), lettuce, tomato, black olive, cucumber, green pepper (optional). You can use plain mustard and mayo if that tickles your fancy.
If I seem a bit fancy, I am becoming a bit of a foodie.

Also, here's another one of my sandwiches:
-Sourdough bread
-FRESH mozzerella, sliced (that shredded stuff is good, but doesn't substitute well here)
-Balsamic Vinegar dressing
-Baby Spinach leaves (or lettuce, if you want the crunch)
-Tomato slices
-Chunks o' chicken, preferably grilled.
The only problem I've had with this mix is that the balsamic vinegar get drip a bit. But it's worth it.

Plus, I don't like how balsamic vinegar dressing drips, so what I do is pour onto the bread, and use a spoon to spread it, kinda like mayo or something. That way it shouldn't drip. But don't use too much, or else it'll make the bread easy to tear.

Pretty much all day, I've been making grilled cheese sandwiches. I have plans tonight to make one with scrambled eggs, mashed potatoes, and salad all drenched in ranch.

- Roast Beef (Oscar Meyer, Slow Roasted Deli)
- Cheese (Private Selection Swiss)
- Onions (generic white)
- Horseradish sauce (I had some packets of Arby's Horsey sauce sitting around. 2)
- Any bread you like (Baker's Inn 6 Grain Wheat)
- Any other things you'd like (I added lettuce for texture and substance)
Simple enough, I sauteed the onions (I REALLY like onions, So I used about a quarter or like 3/8ths of a really big onion for it.), joined it with the rest of the sandwich (Bread, Sauce, Beef (6 slices), Cheese (2 nice big slices), Lettuce), then pan-grilled that on the same pan I used to sautee the onion (picking up the leftover onion goodness...).
And there you go. Roast Beef and Swiss with Sauteed Onions and Horseradish Sauce.

-Grilled Beef for Stir-Fry
- An Egg Over Easy (but make sure the yolk is cooked enough so that it does drip)
- Lettuce
- Tomato
- Onion (optional)
- Mushrooms (grilled)
- Mustard and Mayo (one, other, or both)
- An Artisan Bread (I like sourdough) or even a round bread, like a croissant
If you have onions, you should cook them (sauteed is best), because with this type of sandwich, it wouldn't be good raw. I usually grill the mushrooms with the meat to make it more flavorful. This idea kinda reminds me of those hot pots I used to eat in Chinatown. I have a weird mind.
Someone mention grilled cheese sandwiches! Try one, but add perdue chicken strips, and if you like them, tomatoes. Those are like the best sandwiches ever, at least to me.

Just curious.
I've never tried it so don't worry, I am not that much of a chocolate addict.

Flaky pastry
Melted marshmellow or that fluffy stuff
melted milk chocolate
sliced fruit (strawberry, kiwi, mango, whatever tickles your fancy)
fruit glaze
Like I said, I just think of things like that on the fly, and I did work in a bakery for a long while.

Its however probably kindof hard to get in US/UK. You can though buy it online at http://swedensbest.com/kallescaviar2.html . The sandwich is very tasty.

It's like California and Avocados. Avocados are hardly grown anywhere outside of California, so they're cheaper there (maybe not by much, but there's still a difference!) Some people (my old neighbors included) actually have Avocado trees in their backyards. My neighbors were cool enough to let us have some when they were starting to blacken, that way we'd be able to let them mature in our house until they were just right. In exchange, we'd give them some plates of food whenever we barbaqued, other neighborly stuff, etc. Oh, and now and then I had some quality time to hang out with the neighbor's daughter...
Sadly, didn't go that far.
