Dijon is great, but it'll never replace my love of horseradish mustard. Crude, sure. But it's got a special place in my heart. Man, good times at Phillipe's. Double French-dipped beef sandwich with Monterrey Jack cheese and a nice, thin line of their mustard. Ooooh.

maybe we should move this topic to the mature thread, because that sandwich sounded sexy as hell. *sigh* I go grocery shopping tomorrow, so I'm going to pick up dijon mustard. not too keen on horseradish mustard, but to each their own, right?

I got sourdough today!

I also did something interesting with my sourdough.

I drizzled balsamic vinegarette on a plate, smoothed the bread all over it, placed tomato, cucumber, black forest ham, and green-leafed lettuce on it. I ate it that way, and it was really good open-faced. I might do it again later, but this time, only veggie, with green peppers and stuff.

Experimented today...

Cream Cheese actually works nicely on sandwiches when bagels are used.

Seriously. Strawberry cream cheese (Philadelphia brand ONLY, being the best brand I've encountered), plain bagel, lettuce, tomato slice, cold roast beef.

DAMN good. Try it before you knock it.

I knew that. I tried some herb cream cheese on a sesame bagel, salmon lox, lettuce, and tomato. Yummmmy! I need to do that soon.
