It's all basic advertisement, every product I see now has the no trans fat symbol and fast-foods are trying to make it healthier for customers.
This whole media scare is getting out of hand, a ban on tacos? What in the fuck?
Everyone should know this philosophical line by now "Good things in life are either illegal, immoral or fattens you." There's just no denying it.
I do agree that it's a good idea for the restaurants to remove the trans fats, but when people start avoiding food they used to love since they contain lalala, that's not enjoying life at all. Basically banning yourself for what is given, free.
People mostly eat eat eat, they look at the calories guide [Need at least 2000] and they don't exercise. Result: They fatten up, then blame the restaurants for offering such good, fattening food. There's nothing wrong in taking a burger or a taco and then burning it with some exercise, not at all. You get the right amount of cals to burn and you feel energized about it after.
But yeah, always remember that red meat CAN slow you down. Doesn't mean it's all bad, what with all the proteins in it that helps build muscle and repair wounds.
Just be regular, don't go crazy about it and be reasonable. People are missing the most important factor: exercise. I see commercials for food everywhere, but rarely see at least one that tells you to get damn active in order to be on tip-top shape. If you can't cut your schedule with exercise, drop the fork and go veggie, because sitting around all day is burning not even half of daily dose of food. |
