What do you eat at home?

Yeah, I was having lunch at school a few days ago and thought about this question! Apprently, I was eating Western meal and from the way I see it, Singaporeans seemed to think that home-cooked meals in the West just consist of chicken chops per day! So my curiousity let me to ask everyone in BMS this,

What do you eat at home?

I will not mind if anyone mention about food home-cooked in other "non-Western" countries (it will be more interesting) but I will mind if someone say that he just survives on canned food/Macdonalds per day!

Let me get the ball rolling....

My mum usually cooks some rice with some simple dishes like potatoes with chicken. She also cooks a bowl of soup as well... And they OWN!

Depends really.

If it is about Filipino food, then Pork Tocino with plain/white or garlic rice. is first on my list (even if I may die quicker by eating too much of it).
Other than that, I usually eat cereals, pancakes, bread (with butter and jam ) and even oatmeal at times.
I also tend to eat Japanese food (mostly during Friday and Saturday morning). Fried rice, california maki/roll, miso soup, japanese noodles (may it be soba, udon, ramen, zarusoba and whatnot) and octopus dumplings (only once a month) are the usual items on my "Japanese breakfast menu".
If it's Chinese, then dimsum and chinese noodles are top items. Also, Yang Chow Fried Rice would also be a personal fave.
If it's mediterranean, then I'd go for pasta. But most especially, I'd choose tomato-based or meat-based pastas (Spaghetti Bolognese comes into my mind)
I also like pizza too (even those from Shakey's or Pizza Hut would do).

I eat different things and as my parents trained me and my brother to also love vegetables aside from meat (thus both of us being omnivores), I can generally eat anything really.

1 thing's for sure : i don't eat Pork and anything that comes from Pig

salty Duck Egg
an egg dish that looks like scrambled egg, but this one's cooked with approximately 1 tbsp of chilli sauce (or even more)
instant fried noodles (maybe you'd call it "#-minute made noodles)
fishes, without those choking bones
french fries, usually fried from those frozen Supermarket products
chicken nuggets
and if you're talking about sauce, then the Salty Soysauce (Indonesian/Malaysian : Kecap Asin) would be my #1 choice, whilst the chilli sauce would be my #2 choice

for breakfast: hotcakes & capn crunch! plus sometimes orange juice or fruit
meal: uh, you said at home, right?.. i usually eat salade, soup or vegetables because i dont eat meat, or also.. quesadillas =) (tortilla with cheese inside plus chilli or sauce =p)
and nothing for dinner!

noo! i did that! after skool i used to go to mc donalds almost everyday and eat mostly happy meals, flurrys, pies... so yummy! but i stopped since i saw that movie... supersize-me =P... damn!

I don't eat much at home. I'll buy chicken bowls, mexican food, sandwiches or salads but once in a while I'll cook up some kind of meat and sauce with veggies and potatoes or rice.

Depends on what we feel like.

Mexican:
Burritos (flower tortillas, seasoned ground beef, beans, cheese, my parents use salsa and green chiles)
Enchiladas (corn tortillas, enchilada sauce, ground beef, cheese, my parents use just cheese and add onions lol)
Homemade chili (ground beef, tomatoes, 2-3 kinds of beans, chili powder etc other things)

Italian:
Spaghetti with home made meatballs
Eggplant Parmesan (I cook that really nicely ^^)
Chicken Marsala (I cook that pretty nicely as well)
Cheese lasagna

Oriental:
Beef and broccoli ontop of white rice
stir fried beef ontop of rice

Other foods i cant think of a category;
Chicken strogranoff, cut chicken, sour cream, chicken stock, ontop of noodles
Beef stroganoff (same but just beef)
Grilled steak with baked/mashed potatoes
Grilled chicken with mesquite barbecue sauce
Burgers on the grill
shishkabobs (sp? lol)

plenty of other things i cant recall that my mom and I make lol.

I eat mostly sandwiches or toast. Nothing complicated really, I don't have time to make anything else tbh. ><"

I usually just snack on stuff, or when my mom does make stuff it's either fish, chicken, or pasta & meatballs.

I can't stand drinking more than 1 can/cup of any soft drink. I drink soy milk/milk most of the time at home.
