My father gets a Sam's CLub membership for free through work. We have 7 people in our family (8 when my brother is at home from military) so buying in bulk is sort of a necessity with us. The place is kinda trashy and the selection can suck sometimes, but you really can't beat the prices. I always tag along before going back to college from summer or winter vacation and stock up on my favorite cereals and granola bars in huge boxes. My beloved peanut butter bars are a big saving there: you get 46 for the price of 18 compared to buying the small boxes sold at grocery stores.

I hate Sam's Club, I really do, but it serves a good purpose. For things you know you're going to eat a lot of or go through quickly, or those items that can be stored long-term, it's a great buy. They also have decent prices on their electronics but I don't think I'd buy from them for warranty reasons. Commercial food in bulk though, yay.

I've never been to any other club places though, we don't have BJ's or Costco up near me.

Costco is awesome. No Costcos in Wisconsin though, and I refuse to shop at Sam's Club on principle even though it's within comfortable walking distance. Shame too, now that I have teh monayz.

I shop a lot at cosco; the people who go there tend to be scumbags but they have some good stuff. Just read the ingredient labels carefully.

I used to have a Costco card, but I let it lapse last month. It's definitely worth the $40/year for cheap drugs if you don't have prescription drug coverage. Can't say I ever shopped there very often, but their bakery is awesome, especially the muffins, and I loved being able to buy massive boxes of mini bagel pizzas! <3

I used to have a costco's membership when I lived with people; but now, since I live alone, it's not really worth it since most of the food will spoil before I ever use it.

My family shops at Costco on a regular basis (whenever we need soap, whenever something's on sale, whenever I'm low on Mac'n'Cheese/Philly Cheesesteaks/Gyoza). We have 2 Costcos near us; one in Fremont and another Costco we go to whenever my dad's driving.

I got a costco card that I use the hell out of whenever I'm down in the Grande Prairie one, easy to stock up for stuff whenever I'm down there visiting relatives. It's pretty hit or miss for electronics, but then again I wouldn't really be going to a store for that stuff.

There's a Costco nearby my house. My mom goes there on a weekly basis to buy the ingredients for the desserts she makes for her small business.

I'm thinking of getting a Costco membership to shop there for better items like water and drinks and only $50/mo sound great. ^^

Gee, I am not sure about my country, the closest I can think of is Seng Siong... Its prices are quite good, parents will usually grab a carton of Barcardi there , but sometimes its premises look creepy or dilapilated somehow...

basically, they have the most basic of things in bulk. this includes soda, cereal, chips, etc

if you can't get small versions of it in nearly any vending machine odds are they do not have it
