In Pasadena there is a restaurant called Conrads. The atmosphere is for like... old men who are Elk Lodge members or something...

And for some reason on the menu, it says "No potatoes after 6PM"??

The food wasn't as great as I was hoping. They have a wide variety of foods, but everything tasted so bland. I think it's one of those restaurants you go to only for the atmosphere.. not really the food.

McDonalds Quezon Ave. (Ph):

- Consistently awful service. Their people always get orders wrong, down to the point where I swear they're deaf. I keep saying "Upsize Fries ONLY" and I ended up seeing "Upsize Fries and Drink" every time I went there. Odd thing is, I get consistently bad service in just about every McDonalds store I go to, so that's it-- screw the clown.

Yeah pretty much.

Like if the meal comes already with free regular drink, you can "upsize" it to make it into Large for a few extra bucks.

If you ordered it as a meal, then you have no choice but to upsize both. You can't buy a regular meal and have a large fries, it's not that simple.

Gawd

I remember eating in this all you can eat buffet place.

The price was dirt cheap (around less than 500 pesos per person).

But some of the food there was terrible.

All I can say that it's risky to eat there.

Royal Plaza hotel restaurant, Orlando.

Ordered a turkey and peppers panini. After 45 minutes of waiting (and being served drinks in a plastic cup as opposed to actual glassware), they got my order wrong, and gave me a mozzarella with pesto one. Pointed out the problem, they replaced it, and it tasted like vomit. Seriosuly, they completely overloaded it with gorgonzola.

It's a shame really, the other couple of times we went after, the food was pretty damn good (12oz New York strip steak ftw).

Well..........

It depends on the location of the franchise.

In my country though, usually big fast food retailers like Mcdonalds and even Burger King allow you the option to upsize just one item.

For example:
You can upsize to large 7-up while your french fries are still regular.

Or you can upgrade regular french fries to onion rings (BK Philippines).

I guess it just depends on the location as well as the market.
