News - The Rockman UnderSquare [v3]

For any megaman EXE fans, there is a fanmade game that has been in development for about a year now that is in danger of being shut down due to lack of people to work on the project!

For anybody with free time or looking for something to do, they are looking for some (actually quite a few) specific things.

-Spriters
-Chip Artist
-Area Layout/Developer
-GameMaker Programmer
-Concept Developlment

Spriters will be making sprites of characters, virii, objects, and backgrounds/areas. If you (or anyone else) wants to apply, write down what you are best in, what you want to work on, and if there's anything you absolutely do not want to do. As many people will be accepted as needed. This isn't a contest, so don't worry about competition. As long as you provide decent work, you're in.

Chip Artists will be doing the little pictures that go on the chips. They are looking for at least 2 people for this position. Again, there is no upper limit, so as long as you can do the work and do it well, you'll probably get accepted.

Area Layout/Developers will be designing and laying out the internet, real life, and various structures in the game. They need to be able to organize the layout so that it works. He wanted me to specifically mention a few things about this as well. The first is that they "are doing a 'Square-oriented internet' rather than one centered around homepages." The rest I will quote from his message:

Programmers need to be familiar with the GameMaker programming system. No one here will teach you or train you; you have to know what you're doing. They'll take as many as they can get. (Just to expound a bit, HOLY MOSES. I cannot stress enough that PROGRAMMERS ARE IMPORTANT.)

Concept Development consists of creating Chips, Armor, Virii, and other gameplay elements. Specify which area you want to be working in.


For anybody who would like to help out and join the community, there will be soon (it may alredy be created) be a forum here(link at bottom of page for convenience) for applications, so get down there and sign up!

applications should include what you are good at, what you can do, what you would like to do, and an example of your work.

On July 25th there will be news either saying if the project is being shut down, or who is accepted to continue working on it!
