Double strokes is indeed useful in several instances, that last fill-in in PPR, Say What You Mean, Waza, hell, too many to mention. I use double strokes on Timepiece phase II instead of alternating right-left hand on the snare-tom-tom/snare-snare-tom parts. A lot of people get by without it though and have their own means to do fill-ins. If you can do with one hand, so much the better
