Okay, here's the deal: I WAS looking at getting a beatmania THE FINAL cabinet, but one snag: I measured my doors and the smallest one it'd need to get through most likely, is 79cm wide approx. Fat cabinets are 1020mm at their narrowest point, and all THE FINAL cabinets I can find online (Y!AJ, CoinOpExpress, even ChannelBeat) seem to be fat cabs. Slim cabs, the "rare" ones, are 77cm or so wide. I know where to get such a cabinet, but...I couldn't get THE FINAL.

So it occured to me...all arcade games are JAMMA, right? Well, maybe so maybe not, but something which is essentially KonamI GX hardware definitely should be...so I could just perhaps buy such a slim cabinet, put MAME in the thing and Hit Da Key, right? At the very least, until I get lucky and find a legit upgrade (MAME = sound buffers, yuck).

Unfortunately System16 is down...interestingly the last version on archive.org shows on 10.11.2006 the op complaining the server admin forgot to re-register the domain, so I guess it happened again...

So I guess there's three questions in one here:
1. Does anyone know where I could buy a beatmania THE FINAL, slim cabinet?
2. Does anyone know where I could buy a beatmania THE FINAL upgrade?
3. Does anyone know if I could just put a J-Pac in a 5-key beatmania cabinet and run MAME instead? (I know this works with DDR cabs)
