We should try putting a scam topic in the Graveyard and edit them like this one shown at Fraudwatchers, telling the people viewing them that they are lies. All they want to do is to steal our money. Why they are doing this, I have no idea. http://fraudwatchers.org/forums/showthread.php?t=4609

Editing them really doesn't serve a whole lot of purpose; most people don't poke around in that portion of the boards, and if they do and somehow arrive at the conclusion that the offers in a locked topic in the garbage portion of the forums are legitimate they deserve to be parted from their money. Maybe another staff member would feel differently but it doesn't seem worth the trouble to me.

When I am on here The Graveyard has the most views over any forum. Whether it's because they want free porn, or just a laugh in the old FB, they would probably also look through some of the recently locked threads.
I know I do
EDIT: I meant I look through old locked threads, not I look at porn

We even have some proprietary fonts in there so it's less likely that bots will register. What I think is going on is that people are manually registering the accounts, then they are setting bots into activated accounts.

and yeah, lol criminals | Quite possibly because most sites that have large userbases like we do need a robust backend for a forum. Sites with lots of visitors attract spammers because they know someone will fall for their scams.

From what I've seen this site is better than most as the mods are usually able to shut them down quickly which is why I'm alot more active here than most other Bemani forums.

Edit: Speaking of my first post, instead of putting "Banned" beneath the username, put that punk as "SCAMMER" or "SPAMMER". How does that sound?

The only problem is: What if an idiot stumbles along and it doesn't know what "scammer" means?

I think this should be the answer. I just use Wikipedia for most answers, anyway. Any more questions?

Of course, there's a dozen ways to deal with the situation, but the alteration he put together is very simple and took me all of five minutes to integrate with relatively limited experience with board modding. So it might be just what you're looking for. | Perhaps this could help clear the forums of bots. Any moderators/admins have any comments?
