Song Categories...

Ok, simply enough, there NEEDS to be a 'Video Game' song category... labeled V on the list perhaps. But it, and a couple other categories should be added. Like something for the more common American song titles... Original/Other implies something that I made. And World is more of an ethnic category (not including Japanese, since you've got that category).

Simply enough, the idea is to add 'Video Game' to the category and other slight restructuring to fit other song additions that obvious don't fit into the existing categories.

I also think that it should be made that you can search the the exact name of the simfile artist, just like yo can search the exact name of the simfile. An example would be when I search for "Asaki" instead of just getting sims by "Asaki" I get 150 other sims by "Ayumi Hamasaki," and other artists. Then I have to dig through all of those sims to just find the "Asaki" songs. Which is very time consuming.

You should also be able to search by simfile rating.

Err... Anime is already a category.

Electronic/Rock this is a little too specific, we wouldn't want to flood the category pool, and Instrumental would be far too vague and sort of pointless because it reaches into other categories, there are Anime Instrumentals, Rock Instrumentals, so that would be pretty pointless.

But adding video games and something that american music can fit into, something like "Domestic"...? Idk, just a thought. More of a guess... thought... thing.

The video game category sounds like a good idea. I was kinda thinking about it myself. There's a lot of Mario and Smash Bros. songs out there. I would know because I've made a few myself! There should also be a DJMAX category because that game is slowly starting to get popular and I've been seeing some DJMAX simfiles cropping up in the database.

I remember there was an option for this back on 6.0. Hopefully it'll be brought back.

Not that searching by simfile rating would pull much up... since no one leaves feedback & such... wow, I can't wait for the new changes to really take effect.

I think its a great idea. I mean, i was looking for songs for some games i used to play and maybe some i would learn to like. With the new category, it would group them together and make it quite easier instead of putting them i categories that don't really fit the purpose of the song.

Since bms changed from 6.0 to 7.0

I heard someone... or the request of video game category is going to be added... so all the waiting for it, none came. So I just didn't care at all since none many are out there but more and video game simfiles pop-out... so I think it should have its own category.

I'm starting to get mixed up with anime and video games since most of the video games simfile are categorize as anime which is not really anime isn't it, hehe. (unless its origin from an anime series <.<)

Alright sorry it took so long, I added Video Game as a category.

I also changed the search so that you can sort it by Simfile ratings.
