Tokens for downloads

I think it'd be pretty cool if you earned 1 token if someone downloaded your uploaded sim. 1 token per download.

The people download your sim, the more tokens you get.

Not to bad of an idea. when i saw the title of the post i thought u ment that people would get a Token for Downloading a file, and that wouldnt go over well

Yeah, that would suck. But no you actually earn tokens if someone downloads your sim. I guess i should re-word the title.

I like this idea. One nice side benefit is it would encourage people to donate more to their own simfiles, because then they would get tokens as well as downloads.

Agreed, this might not be so bad an idea. It may even lead to different simfiles showing up in the sponsor list. Who knows?

Thanks for the feedback.

But now I wonder: where to from here? Do the mods check this forum regularly? Do they submit the ideas to the head honcho who decides what's 'yay' and what' 'nay'? Would we get some feedback or contact from him? Or is this just sort of like a "here's my 2 cents, although nothing's gonna chnge" kinda deal?

Just curious.

Generally, any response I've ever seen from a mod here is Keith, he appears to be good times... though it isn't like I actually know him.

Truth be told, it could take a while before this topic gets noticed by a mod, but the poor title might actually make it take longer. Not to mention the apparent changes that are about to be made to the simfile server / storage / whatever may make any good ideas related to it or its use may be extremely low priority, regardless how good the idea may be.

And just so you guys know, I read every active thread in all of these forums, to see if any ideas in here are good or bad. Keith reads the forum pretty actively, so I don't see a responsibility to submit anything to the "head honcho".

I basically read the forum to make sure you guys follow the rules of the forum. Which, in general, you guys do pretty well, so I don't really have to act that much around here.

Wow, so that's why I've been getting random amounts of tokens! I was so confused. A quick forum search found me this topic, though. So now I'm not confused.

Hm, would it be a hassle to have an option that lets all those tokens be sent to the bank? I don't like holding tokens, and I'd rather have them in my bank rather than transfer them every time I get tokens.
