"Watch User" feature

There may already be something like this and I'm just oblivious as usual, but, if not, has anyone brought up the idea of being able to watch certain simfile-makers? When I say "watch" I mean if you view their Simulation Profile or one of their Simfile Pages there could be an option to "watch" them, which simply means receive a message whenever that user uploads any new simfiles.

'course you'd be able to unwatch them, as well. This just dawned on me when I wanted to view the progress of this new simfile-maker (Jekefka); but say I'm away for a week? He could upload a simfile and I'd never know unless I went through a series of searches or went through a series of links in my profile.

Like...subscribing to them or something?

I'm sure there's an easier way to keep track of them in any case. Add them to your favorites or remember their username (or write it down) and then search right for their username. If they're new it should be easy to tell if they have anything new uplloaded, right?

Yep, like subscribing. Bookmarking user pages or frequently looking up users would be a hassle in either case if you were keeping tabs on, say, 10 different people. I got the idea of a "watch" feature from deviantArt, and it's pretty convenient there.

But no one seems interested, so my point is moot.

I'm digging this out because it -IS- a good idea. There are a select few people that I know that actually do a halfway decent job in terms of making simfiles or related material and way too many others to weed through. It'd be really nice if there was a watch list somewhat similar to what you'd find on places like YouTube.

I don't see why there SHOULDN'T be such a feature, at least.
