Marketplace Rating: 0 | Bar Play vs. Non-Bar Play (I'm not making fun of one, I'm just asking something) After watching people play 11+ footers with the bar... I realized that physically speaking, it will be impossible to do well on certain songs without the bar.
So, as far as your experience is concerned, what is the highest level song someone can beat without the bar? It seems like once you start getting into level 12s and 13s that it'd be nearly impossible without the bar.
Personally, my goal is to get as good as I can at very difficult songs with no bar. I'd like to be able to get As or AAs on Level 11s eventually. What is some of the best non-bar play you've ever seen though? I want to know what to shoot for :P

I'm not sure if anything higher (aka keyboard songs) have been though

Marketplace Rating: 2 | yes, not alot of people have passed songs that are a difficulty pass 11 without a bar. I have seen people pass Summer on Expert without the bar though, they barely move their feet, and dont turn their body much. Otherwise your stamina would drain so fast, you would not even get passed half the song. In a way it makes sense though...

Very impressive vids. If I get to the point where I can get an A on 11s with no bar then I'll be pretty darn happy...

Marketplace Rating: 0 | Anyone have any videos of doubles players doing 12s or 13s without bars? I don't get out to play ITG much, and I haven't played DDR in a while, but I remember hating ITG at first because the movement for so many of the doubles songs is just so incredibly awkward it feels like it was designed with the bar in mind the entire time. I use the bar on doubles now when I play ITG, and I can honestly say that I don't think any amount of practice would get me through 12s without the bar let alone scoring well on them.

Most of french players have reached a 12's level. Some players can beat 13 footers, but they don't get very high scores. (Something like ~60% xD)

Marketplace Rating: 8 | I honestly don't get what the huge deal is about bar vs non-bar and why it spawns so many topics. It really doesn't matter. People should play what they prefer. There will always be people who can do crazy shit no bar (just as there are crazy IIDX players that use no speed mods or a single hand) Does that mean you are cheating if you use 2-hands or speed mods in IIDX? Hell, no.
Gameplay speaking, DDR is about performing the song's steps not doing it a specific way to warrant your score more legit or more impressive. Doesn't matter if you use the bar, no-bar, 5x hallway, 8x stealth, whatever. It's all preference.

I don't think that's what this thread was about. I think he was just asking how difficult of songs people have seen done no-bar. Personally, my best no-barring was 95-ing energizer on hard. Also keep in mind, I'm 6'3", 250 lbs. X_X

But anyways...continue
