ITG Machine for Schools

As some of us BIG ITG fans know, ITG can be used as a weight loss substitute than rather having to sign up for a membership at a local gym. I started playing ITG when I moved out of middle school during my Summer Break.

I was REALLY FAT back then

After I have been playing ITG for several months, i had noticed a weight drop since my last PE Height and Weigh at my middle school.

After noticing the weight loss that I have experienced with ITG, i had the craziest idea to try to convince my city's School District to put ITG machines in schools.

After all, documentary's say that we are the FATTEST nation to this PLANET

So, I need your guy's opinion:

Should ITG machines belong in schools?

Tell me why or why not!

no because they're a gigantic waste of money that can be replaced by making the children run around a soccer field

pft...man, ITG machines are not THAT expensive

And the kids at my school want exercise to be fun

They try to sneak mp3's as they run around to "make" it fun, but then the district might get blamed for the stolen mp3s, which is why the deans ans the VP dont want us to bring MP3s to school

So, the finances are not THAT big of a deal

I want fitness to be fun, not torture

They don't make them anymore, hence making them a rare commodity which in the end raises the price on any one said machine. Besides, do you really think a school, a public school nonetheless, will throw down 5 to 15 thousand dollars to buy a machine, when they can spend almost no money on making you run laps.

yes and no

yes because America has one of the worst weight problems in the whole world and this would be a effective way to lose weight and have fun

but no because this may cause the students to lose interest in all other school work and go to arcades more to get better so they can show the people in the gym class how much better they are

But its very unlikely for the second one to happen

Curse this thread and its random nonsensical assertions.

Arcades in America are few and far between and why would playing ITG more make them lose interest in school. That would be severe if they put school off to the side so they could play ITG and beef up their legs to brag to the 7th graders about it. DDR has been incorporated in schools in some states but even that can be a dumb, money and time-consuming idea i.e. setting up the playstations, the dance mats, letting everybody play during gym class, having enough setups for everyone, the kids might feel dumb or embarassed to play in front of others, someone might use random, etc....

It would never work because the school system isn't going to want to spend money on a machine that
a.)not everyone would use
b.)they don't really understand
c.)cost them money, when a lower costing alternative is available.
As much as I'd like to see it happen it wouldn't.

well..i Guess

But it can work in two ways:

#1-Good Fitness (but im not sure people would be bragging about it because not a lot of people are familar with it)

#2-Fundraising since we got the machine paid for, we can have good fundraisers and have the kids have fun and work out at the same time, and at the same time, maybe make more money for the school, maybe even more than a car wash
(even though we spent a lot on the machine, if we did)

Waste of money, especially considering that not everyone would want to do it + there are much cheaper ways to make gym fun (football equipment is $100, ITG machine is $10,000, TAKE YOUR PICK)
