ITG PC + USB Metal Pad question

How similar is a Metal USB pad for your PC to the arcade pad? I'm looking into purchasing one and I've seen a few good reviews for a couple pads but I could use some advice on what kind of pad to get, and if it's as close to a arcade pad like they all say they are.

Blueshark is the closest to an arcade pad. But they've been sold out forever, no one knows when they'll be in stock.
