Default How many people do you think can honestly pass 13's? (pad)

Me and my friends were talking about ITG, and we were discussing passing 13's. Me, being the only one in my group that has passed a 13 think that the number of people that can pass worldwide is somewhere around 7k-10k. My friends insists that it is more, I was just wondring what everyone here thinks of worldwide players (please don't include PIU players, that's much more universal than ITG).

I'd say somewhere around the range of 6k to 8k in people, then again I can't be sure I have trouble with 11's myself.

the easiest way would just be to see how many people have passing scores submitted for them on groove stats/ddrecall

summer (pretty widely regarded as the easiest 13) has about 100 passing scores on recall. groovestats is down so i can't check that

but i would say it's 1000 or less, honestly. i REALLY doubt there are more than 800-900 people out there that are that good at itg and DON'T post scores online.

I would say this is mostly accurate.

I read an article that was linked from a groove stats on the average level that players can do up to. They got the information from pulling a lot of groove stats information, and they found the average player (who posts scores) will make it up to passing the harder 9, and some of the easier 10s. The number they had that was pushing average, was around 5-6k.

There are a lot more people who cap at doing the harder 10s, there are a lot of people that cap doing 11s, and so on and so forth.

I personally have passed every 10 but a few (Bouff, Soapy Bubble, and Kagami) and I have Robotix, Charleene, and Utopia passed as far as 11s go. With as long as it took me to make that jump from doing 10s to 11s, in regards of stamina needed and sight reading skill it is going to take me at least 6 months probably before I start working on Summer. That would mean I've been playing for roughly a year, which is more than likely a lot longer than a lot of people do.

Not alot of people can pass thirteens. I have passed Summer, and that was hard. I only have seen one other person pass it besides me. It takes alot of stamina, so I would say less the 5k people can do it.

it is definitely less than 5000

think about it omega; let's say that there are 2 more people in your area that you don't know about and can pass 13s (which is really unlikely)

on average i'd say there are probably like, 5 "ddr hotspots" with really good players in each state (obviously alaska is going to have like 1 at most and california will have like 20 but in the end i think that balances out) that will have, at most, 5 players that can pass 13s. even here in ohio i can't think of more than maybe 20 people that can pass 13s with any sort of reliability

so, upwards of 25 people per state x 50 states = 1250 and that is definitely a very high estimate

I'm agreeing with ranatalus here. I've only managed to pass one 13 footer (summer, like a lot of people said, its the easiest one.). And until i go to Edmonton, which is probably the bigger ITG/DDR place in Alberta, I've noticed not many other people have passed all the 13s, maybe like 10 or more people. And maybe about 20 or more that have passed one at least. I seriously doubt there is a ton of people who have passed 13s, especially since after Konami axed ITG on us.

I dont post my scores anywhere, and I'm pretty good. Hell, I don't even go on any of the communities anymore. Nor do I have any friends that play DDR anymore. I just play it in my basement for exercise. I wonder if there are others in my situation.

I don't post my scores on groove stats. I'd just lower the averages. T_T

Oooh! Another question, what would you say the average age group is that can pass them? I'd guess between 17-20.

so? if you pass 13s that's an amazing accomplishment on it's own. don't feel bad because someone else has a 99.95 on a song you can only get 80% on. My best on Pandy ex is like 78%, on hard it's 89.99. i still put them up on recall because they're my scores and i have every right to post them

don't let the "elites" make you feel like you or your scores are not worth anything

Fine, I admit, I passed it only once, on a complete fluke. Happy now Derek?

Oh and I think it was Puddlez. Also, when did you join here?

Yes, actually I am, you know you can hardly pass 10s. :P Umm... quite awhile ago actually, but that's irrelevent to the topic, I'd say that the majority of top tier players are 18-22.

Well, no I have a question for everyone here, how the hell does some one who can hardly pass 10's pass a 13 on a fluke?
